Good question! I got it from Tarmac, link below. Not sure of the material tbh. I'd say metal over plastic but it's probably something else. Maybe someone else will jump in and confirm?? Either way it's a quality part from a reputable company

I had to buy the whole kit so not sure about individual bits. Motordyne might do them separately. Defo worth a try. Just beware the high shipping cost!

That is the only thing going through my head tbh but any expense spared in this situation is wise. The car works and drives perfectly so I'm going with, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" I'll deal with it when it happens, if it does.... watch out for my engine wanted ad in 3 weeks lol

The reason I'm selling... my car was diagnosed with a bottom end problem. After buying this engine I carefully drove to the garage knocking away but by the time I arrived the knock had completely disappeared and is yet to return, in fact the car is running better than ever!?!? Huge head scratching moment for us all! The engine is currently sat at Japex in Kings Langley, Herts and I`ve got about a week to use it or move it.

Anyway, I don't have space to store the thing, which I'd prefer just in case, and I'd like to make back what I paid which was a very good and fair price in my eyes.

The cost of rebuilding without going forged put me right off. As much as I'd of loved to have that peace of mind knowing the engine was sound I just couldn't justify the costs involved for what is realistically, an old car. Hope it all goes well for you bud

If time was on my side I'd have waited for Ewen to get one in. I think I've done alright with what I bought, fingers crossed!

I feel your pain. Bottom end on mine went last week! Not looking at such a hefty bill as you though. Hope you get it all sorted without headaches!

Rolled the dice a bought it at a nicely reduced price after lengthy discussions with the seller. Sorry NickMullin if you were genuinely looking at it and thanks to everyone else for the input Fingers crossed I haven't been done!!

Unless I can find someone to do it for upto 4k, which is my entire budget, I'm going to have to go down the second hand route and pray I don't get stung!
