  1. They are a few of the bad points but the car is on autotrader. Would link you but I'm on mobile
  2. Yeah I understand that. I fell liked the car as in the way it drove and felt etc. I understand that particular model could do with some work and movement on the pay! But I'm loving the help guys! Craig
  3. Yeah the repairs are being done and service for that price. Although I've seen and import 02 for a lot less with less mileage and a better spec which I'm going to view next week. Will push this one down to 6.5 with repairs and service though
  4. Basically want to know whether it is worth the asking price of 7k with service and rust repairs done?
  5. Okay so I went to view my first zed today. Fell in love with it! 2003 84k miles. Mongoose exhaust system all gt extras except for nav and also has black rays with good potenza tyres all round. Recently had lots of engine work (maintenance) done and drives very smoothly. Small mark on the side of the leather drivers seat. Paint bubbling around rear arches but miniscule and small amount of rusting on inside of arches. A few scuffs around boot lid and rear bumper corners also. Another point was that after a fast test drive there was a strong and vile smell from the wheels... could this just be tyre polish? Cheers for your patience. New to the world of zed! Cheers craig
  6. the Z isnt an inteligent buy but an emotional I've always gone by emotional value! who needs sense when you've got a steering wheel eh?
  7. comparison was around the 1400 mark but a lot were with boxes, now I'm not going to be driving it like I stole it because I will be wanting to get used to RWD and I would like to be allowed out past 11! (providing mummy lets me! ) admiral was in the 2.5k region
  8. as in taking out the policy? the car I quoted sold a day before I went to put the deposit down!!
  9. My previous car was a mk4 golf gt tdi pd130 running about 260bhp which was owned for 2 years. If that means anything?
  10. okay so I'm about to dive into buying my first zed after receiving a quote from my current insurer Adrian Flux, however when I go to retrieve the quote they tell me that they put down that I had owned the car for 3 years! I'm 22 with 4 years NCB and it went from £1200 on my own to £2500+ with my mother on the policy!!! kind of disgusted but nothing I can do I guess!!! Does anybody have any recommendations for me? Cheers Craig
  11. thank you for the speedy response! yeah my golf costs me roughly £10 a day! its remapped and all that malark which will not be happened with the zed as they dont really need it from what ive heard! so cycling is still the option regardless of whether i grace myself with a zed. sorry if im being foolish here but what is HR or DE?
  12. okay, so first things first i am driving a mk4 golf gttdi (go easy on me) but im looking to convert to a 350z (what I believe to be the best jap option). basically there are a few things I want to know if I can get some help before I bite the bullet as it is a sizable commitment for myself.... I am looking for a convertible model and a GT trim! What are the costs like for maintenance? are they reliable? what things should I look for whilst buying? ie, corrosion etc. is it worth the extra for the 300? what is the fuel like? (my commute to work is around 8 miles each way but m'way with no traffic. but I am cycling atm because it is saving me 3k a year!) if there is any other advice that I should take note of I will be grateful for the information Cheers fellas! Craig
