  1. Better is relative. Neither car is going to be corroded to any degree that any sane person would care about.

You really should care about the colour, that's the whole selling point of the car!

True true true and I Iike black but you are correct ... GT4s are a bit special, especially when they're unmolested and they'll appreciate IMHO ... 370 Zeds are a bit ordinary , again IMHO

I have a relatively unmolested 350 but all are capable of throwing you through a hedge upside down backwards and on fire.

  2. Bet it's not pretty underneath as it's a ten year old car. Why not get a five year old 370 if you have 16k to spend

Because a 16K 5 year old 370 will depreciate like any other car

Yes but a five year old 370 will be less corroded underneath and its a better car. I dont care about the colour which in this case isnt very nice any way

  3. Never been to one of these runs.never done one so do i need to bring my sat nav if i fall behind and get lost amongst a group of oap sunday drivers in their pimped micras

  4. Camelford but i have family in newton and often go back. Look forward to it.

I'm hoping to arrange a Cornish meet at the end of September, maybe meet in Truro and drive to Falmouth for food, drink and chat

Sounds good too. I hardly see any zeds down this way

  5. I have a print out of my wheel HP ( not hub ) and fly HP there is 65 bhp difference ........ The zed looses a lot of Power through the transmission:(

I would think the measured whp is more accurate than the calculated fhp as the whp is what is directly put down on the dyno from the wheels. I had a new exhaust and a remap so i would have thought that 246whp is on the money

  6. I had exactly this problem with rainsport 3 on the rears. Completely flat evenly over the middle with loads of tread at the edges. Have now put on nokian zline and dropped the pressure from 35 to 30ish psi so hope i will get more than 6k out of them. Will probably stop doing screechy wheel spin starts too

  7. That's a guess as well ;) If you want accurate figures, you either need a hub dyno to remove any queries about the tyres or the ultimate and ONLY true way is an engine dyno, which really isn't an option.

Best thing to do with dyno figures is treat them as a baseline. You've done one now, so when you do anything else to the car you can then see if you're gaining or losing power in relation to the baseline. Tbh, on a DE they're pretty good numbers. Where did you get the dyno done, what machine was it, and how many pulls did they do?

Was at richards brothers in redruth on a TAT Systems dyno whatever that is and they did three runs and all were consistent. the max torque was 254 ftlbs but the car has been remapped so i guess these figures arent unrealistic

  8. Pehaps it is but if i had to believe a figure it would be the whp as this is directly measured by power transfer from the wheels to the dyno. Doesn't really matter as the car is more than capable of making me need underwear changes on occasion

  9. Took my 2005 for a dyno run last friday and the whp was 246 and the fhp 269. Now I've done extensive research on this and people state about 15% for transmission losses but for me 23hp is only a 9%. Would love to know if anybody else has got as low a figure as this or whether i need to test it somewhere else
