  1. It's a few weeks since I spent any time one the Z, give it a good wash and wax, added a boot lip spoiler, new carbon gear knob that I have been promising myself for a while, a nismo sticker for the peeling radiator cap and an induction kit to improve the engine sound.

  2. Bit of usfull info for the future, a nice easy way to work injector sizes/requirements out is this

Take the injector size (say 550cc) and multiply it by the number of required injectors ( 6 here) now devide that by 5.5 (hp per cc of fuel) and that will give you your theoretical maximum power capabilities, this does make a few assumptions but it's the best guide for quickly specing injectors.

    550*6/5.5= 600

As you can see 550cc injectors will give you plenty headroom for the future if you do decide to forge the engine :)

  3. I have used loads of different tyre brands over the years (mainly on high hp imprezas)

Here is my experience of Khumo's

Khumo KU31- good wet and very good dry weather tyre.

Khumo KU37 very poor wet and ok'ish dry

Khumo KU39 fantastic wet and dry but a little noisy.

Don't think all khumo tyres are the same

Got KU39's on my Z and they are also great on that too.

  4. Saw a study done on Subaru panel filters (same as used in the 350z) and it showed the cosworth doesn't have a better flow quality when tested against standard paper filters, the filter that came out on top was the HKS hybrid 3 layer filter.

  5. Great to see this, I lost 5 stone ( from 19.5 to 14.5 stone) last year, the 1st two weeks are the hardest, I used an app on my phone called myfitnesspal, you can log what you are eating and it gives you a calorie guide based on your weight and your weight loss goals.

I stuck to 1600 calories a day made up of 50% protein and hit the gym 4 times a week, lost around 2 pounds a week but totally changed my body composition.

Stick at it and you will get there, the main thing it perseverance, if you do fall off the wagon one day just forget about it and make sure you do well the next day.

    Good luck guys :)
