  1. Thanks for the advice!

    It's a TTV billet flywheel, v nice quality, 6.4kg:

I put an OE slave cylinder in and a Competition Clutch kit from Torqen, which I hadn't heard of but was recommended to me!

I've had solid flywheels (not lightweight exactly) but not had the resonance I'm getting with this setup. Fine down country lanes but driving in traffic may become annoying...

    Thanks again for your help

  2. Hi all,

I know there is already a lot of coverage on clutch & release bearing noise, but I think mine's different!

I've recently fitted a lightweight flywheel and new clutch & spigot bush, and now have v noticeable noise/chatter when on throttle, below 2k rpm. It goes away at higher revs...

It's not the same chatter as I had with the DMF at idle.... there is no noise at idle.

I've seen in a couple of posts people have said it could be the gearbox idler gear / input shaft bearing- is that right? Also does anyone stock the parts or do they have part numbers? Thanks!

  3. Hi, sorry been away for a few days.... No I never figured it out!! If I leave the toggle switch on, the LED flashes green after a few mins, and then some time later it flashes red and starts beeping at me.... I've no way to test whether it's a jammer and I don't want to take my dash apart to find out...

  4. Hi All,

I saw that Nissan have the 2014/2015 update available to purchase now.... http://www.navigation.com/370Z-2011/Connect-Premium--X9--Europe-2014-2015/nissan-eu/product/T1000-22697/en_GB/EUR/

Has anybody taken the plunge and bought a copy, or has anyone seen this available cheaper anywhere else (i.e. eBay...)?

Would anybody be interested in splitting the cost of the pack (179 EUR) and we can then have them circulating as these discs were??

  5. Had a bit of a hiccup updating my friend's Z yesterday... Word of caution, don't get distracted by the F1 and leave the car on but not running for 3 hours or this might happen:

All sorted now though! I did mine without the engine running no probs, but I guess it's best to at least alternate engine on/off between discs!

  6. Hi,

Picked up some Superforma spacers from Cougar Store on Friday and fitted them at the weekend. Thanks Mitz!

I went for 25mm all round and I'm really pleased with them! The quality of the parts and machining looks excellent so I'd recommend them if you're looking for an alternative to Eibach etc.

I think it improves the stance no end, and I don't have any wheel shake etc after fitting them. Even so, I'll be getting the alignment checked asap.

    Here's the finished product:

  7. Thanks for the info. I'm not the OP and don't want to hijack but I wouldn't dare go trying to adjust the roof itself, but as my seals are a bit worn I'm looking for something to "touch up" the rubber and make it last a bit longer. I may well contact Sly before it's too late though....

3 roof replacements?? Saves having to clean it I guess, just get a new one when it gets dirty :)

  8. Hi,

After reading this I had a look at my roof (2010 Roadster) and I have a similar split on the seal in the corner of the DS door. The windows drop every time I open the door but it must still catch in that area.

I've asked someone through work (a rep for an adhesives/ sealant company) if they have anything that can bond the rubber seal back together and still have some flex so it won't go hard when it cures and split straight away, and could maybe be painted on to give a bit of protection to the seal. I'll let you know if they come up with something!

  9. Hi All,

Not the most exciting mod (I'm not sure it can even be classed as one) but it really does make a difference...

I replaced the interior lights with cheap 501 LEDs as I didn't want them too bright... http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=291158597961

Here's one LED and one standard bulb:

I also replaced the boot light and the one in between the seats (on the roadster) with these LEDs.

I've also replaced the number plate bulbs with LEDs- went a bit more expensive with these as they're outside the car, and I wanted them brighter. I got a couple of pairs so I can do the sidelights when I have the front wheels off this weekend. This is what I went for after reading on here- http://www.ebay.co.u...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

    Here's before and after:

I also fitted a stubby aerial from Redline Styling on here, and as it's right in my rear view mirror on the top of the boot it's nice to not have the standard one wobbling around and making it look like a radio controlled car :)

Like I said, exciting stuff!! Next mods will be more interesting I promise.. :)

  10. I could really tell the difference in my mapped VXR so stuck mainly to Momentum 99 (super was recommended after a remap to protect against knocking anyway). It felt lifeless on the odd occasion I put 95 RON in...

I've only put Momentum 99 in my 370 so can't comment on the effect standard fuel has on it. As others have said, a couple of extra quid per tank is worth it for peace of mind!

  11. Thanks all! MPSS aren't exactly in budget but I've bought the car to enjoy it so they're what I'm getting... How many miles should I expect from them?! Are they sticky fast wearing or are they ok compared to others?

Cheers for all help and advice!
