Yeah I've been on the forum solid for the past week drooling and studying ... Type R is being picked up tomorrow so will be without a car from then Thought I'd have been in love with the FN2 , but in all honestly I felt it was a bit of a let down .. Won't be sad to see it go , even thou it's the only car I've ever made money on

When talking to him he did mention a 350z forum that I should look at for help .. I know it's hard to tell on the phone and when dealing with a car sale but the guy seems genuine and honest about the car Little things like him getting the diff serv and putting 4 brand new premium tyres on is a good sign ... The clutch and gear box is my only concern , if they are solid then I will be happy

Yeah mate the guy had the car up for more ... Been quite honest about the car emailed me loads of pictures even interior plastics ... If I'm honest the odd mark or stone chip won't faze me or put me off the car .. As long as the history of the car is right and it's as he described I will take it back to glasgow ... I sold my type r for 7k so I have around 1k to play with getting the zee up to standard Just serviced including Dif , breaks and oils and filters .. Leather is in great condition very little wear .. Plastics are good to .. If the car is as discribed my plans are to freshen up the interior .. Plan to send the stearing wheel away to get thickened and trimed in alcantara .. Along with some of the interior panels if I can't get them done alcantara I might look at getting them dipped Cf or wrapped .. Sourcing a set of rays or powder coating the standard black or carbon black , maybe spacers and springs If the car needs anything to get it running right that will come first thou Just can't wait to get down and see it in the metal and get it home all being well I honestly don't mind traveling for the right car .. Looked at trains down today only 43 quid ðŸ‘

Is that an issue with good rubber too ? , the owner just fitted brand new Falken all round

hey jp606 .... no the car is located in Sheffield im in Glasgow so Sunday will be the first time I see the car in the flesh ... car ticks all the boxes so far spec , mileage and history so I paid a deposit for the seller to hold it till Sunday for me ... im happy to walk away and lose the deposit if the car isn't what im thinking it is on sunday .... at 6k its worth taking a chance most other cars around that price have 80k + in milage no GT .... Just hope its as the seller described

That's reassuring guys , Exhaust has only been on the car for around 12 months and there is a clip of the actual car ive bought on youtube with cobra plates on it ... sounds amazing in the clip , I know its not a good comparison

Hello all , I pick up my 350Z on Sunday and its fitted with a Cobra res exhaust ... wondering is anyone can let me know what this is like at cruising speeds on the motorway ?I have a 4 hour trip back home and I hope im not spending it regretting the purchase and if there is any harsh drone , and is there anything that can be done to fix this . I do want it to have a nice loud sound , just not annoying hope that makes sense

Yeah serv history is mostly Nissan then a specialist in Sheffield that fitted the cobra exhaust Owner serviced the dif at 45k . Only think a bit of a worry is the clutch is standard .. Hope there is no signs of wear because that could make me walk away .. I know a new clutch could be around 1k to replace Still on the look out for rays .. The car I test drove yesterday had them and looked really nice ..

Yeah the ones on the car are in really good condition would be great to get a swap plus cash for a set of rays .. Money to the rays of course 👠Happy that it's coming with a 8 month old cobra exhaust system and nismo spoiler , those would be on my list to add after getting the car After the sale of my type r I have around £800 left over so that should cover a set of rays and powder coating them black or grey

Ahh I see .. The dealer said the old owner was a older guy .. Was flashing at me at around 4k lol That's clear then dealer wanted 8300 for the car way to big a gap between that and the one I'm picking up .. Even thou the dealer car has the rays alloys

Paid a deposit to a private seller yesterday for a 04 plate 350z GT that I hope to pick up next week paying £6200 Spec Blade silver Leather Cruse 47k FSH ( inc dif and breaks in the last 2k) Xenon Nismo spoiler Cobra exhaust New rubber 12 month mot 4 months tax Felt like I should at least feel what a car with the same mileage and spec feels like as I've never drove one before .. So I contacted a local honda dealer that had one in stock and went along for a wee chat .. Took my type r in to see what price they would give me .. I would also never dream of doing this with a private seller If I'm honest I'm totally blown away with the 350z the pull in every gear is stunning .. And my drive home in my FN2 felt slow and disappointing , even the sound of it didn't sound nice anymore Couple of questions there was a little square light that would sometimes flash at me even at 4k rpm .. Can anyone let me know what that's about ? Also the gear changes felt really good and smooth .. Should this be the same with all 350z ? Or is it normal for it to be a little notchy Any help would be great on other things to look at

Yeah next serv isn't due till November 2015 Bit surprised at the price I'm getting it at with the mileage and spec I know of the gearbox issues when cold .. Is there anything else to be looking out for when I go to pick the car up Seller has pointed out the problem with the Bose CD player and he's changed it over for a kenwood unit with Bluetooth etc

Ha will have a wee look ... want to get it in for a full health check before I go spending

Wanted to say hello , as the Forum has been a huge help for me finding the right car . Last night I sold my 07 reg Civic Type R, and on sunday I travel down south to pick up my new 04 350z GT in silver with 49k leather , Nismo rear spoiler , full cobra res exhaust, full serv history , new falken rubber , diff& breaks serviced ........... Really happy with the spec and price im paying £6200 ... plans I have are to source a set of Rays powder coat a dark grey , maybe black and tint the rear windows a light smoke tint . ........ Little bit on the type r ,only had her for 2 months and was a fan for the first few weeks , but I got tired of the way you had to drive the car to get the best out of the car
