  1. So... Having given it over a month since I ordered my Work XSA 04C's from Driftworks, I thought I'd give them a ring for an update...

Little bit angry now because I was told 6-8 weeks. Now I'm being told they might not land in the UK till gone January!!!

Anyone else been mucked about like this and not been contacted at all but had to chase them up?

I feel that having spent over 4k with them recently, I deserve a bit better than to be kept in the dark.

  3. Can anyone tell me what's happening at this meet? is there anything inparticular going on? I'd like to come down and show my appreciation for the zed, but 2 hours drive there and 2 hours back is a long way to go to be stood in a car park looking at 100 cars maybe, im not trying to diss the meet, but iv only ever been to ultimate car cruise in blackburn a few times and there were over 3000 cars each time so plenty to see.

Along with some of the fastest GTR'S in the world...

  4. Make sure you regularly use leather balm on the seats (if it's a UK GT) otherwise the dampness from your pants will affect the leather.

Also ensure that the replacement section is the correct size otherwise it will screw with your gas flow and nobody likes having their gasses screwed with :o

  5. That looks to be resonated wilo. ;)

Resonators are box chambers incorporated into the exhaust system, which are used to make the exhaust quieter, by cancelling certain sound frequencies. A non-resonated exhaust system will therefore, give a louder exhaust note and a resonated exhaust system, a quieter exhaust note.

cheers GM .cars in for wheel bearing doing Tuesday so thinking of getting it cut out and bypassed like a decat with some stainless tube .

    good or bad idea ?

obviously im wanting the system louder but hoping i have enough backpressure with the big ass box box fitted to the milltek to maintain performance

You have a 3.5L V6 I don't think back pressure will be an issue in the same way as a 1l corsa with a big bore

  6. Quoted me happy today! Will be changing my policy over to a Sky modified policy this week or next!

Anthony was awesome to deal with and for once gave me some confidence in an insurance company! ^_^

  7. For those who have seen the underground snowboarding movie "Frostbite"... Only you will know why I laughed at the title of this post more than I should have done :lol::lol:

On a serious note though, wait and see how brutal this winter will be first and then I might stick some winter rubber on the Rays and keep the Works safe.

  8. I don't think I'm quite due one (yet) but have people got recommendations for I guess what we call 'fast road use'? I won't be doing donuts or go on tracks but you've got to have fun sometimes. I've got a 07 DE.

That one looks good for everything you get.

However, if I couldn't spring for a clutch/flywheel combo how do the Exedy clutches stack up? Clark has them for less than £300.

That Clark Motorsport set up looks useful! Not a bad price either!

The Xtreme kit is very popular now with many happy owners. We are the UK distributor for Xtreme and offer full UK back up and support. Let me know if we can help further :)

Awesome, cheers! IF my garage will buy from you instead of euro car parts then I'll go down that route for sure. Having just changed jobs, I can't really afford that kind of money without a monthly finance deal... Hmmmm.

  9. I'm running the Exedy clutch and cc flywheel - clutch holding up fine and it gets enough abuse ;)

Yeah, I'm getting back in the habit of embarrassing corsa drivers and making them look silly in front of their girlfriends... I certainly need something more in line with my driving style. I don't have a history of driving fast road Jap cars to pootle about in them... Like elderly Jaguar F-type drivers.

  11. Too much fun with ESP switched off and it's starting to slip and smell now :(

Any recommendations on an aftermarket upgrade. Obviously something the can cope with the "fun times"... Will be doing fly at same time...

  12. Spoil sport :p

So, anyway... I've changed the finish to polished centres and lips and I've got some sh*t hot wheel clay and protector sealant to help take care of them, incase I leave them on over winter etc...

Also got HSD Monopro coilovers on the way and work anodised wheel nuts :D
