Camber doesnt wear the inside edge. Its an internet myth
-
Wearing inside of tyres has nothing to do with camber. Its the toe/tracking that does that. Get it realigned.
Changing the ride height wont do anything for the back breaking ride. Youll need stock soft suspension to solve that. What suspension is on it?

Been a while since my last update and things have been progressing nicely with the car
bought a few bits from Bennet (a pleasure to deal with and really helpful) in preperation for the SXO weekender at rockingham.
Most importantly was some Tein Monosports, and Bennet had also upgraded the front springs to some stiffer swift ones. Also included was the EDFC for dampening adjustments whilst out on track!

The set up works amazingly! transformed the car on track, and helped Bennet to an 8:02 I think it was at the ring with an n/a Z!
Next was an uprated gearbox mount as my gearchange was very sloppy. Once removed it was clear why as the stock one had torn.

I also got some 1 step colder plugs which were promptly fitted and an oil temp gauge which is still in the 'to do pile'
The SXOC weekender was amazing! Rockingham is such a fast flowing track that it really suits the Z. I did have some issues through the day though, The drivers front tyre got STUPIDLY hot as the day went on and just gave up towards the end. Already on 255 595 RS-R's i figure the next step is some pretty serious weight reduction?
The clutch fluid kept boiling and the pedal would fall to the floor and not return until it had cooled down. I have already bought a new slave from Torqen (no 'U' ) and got some high temp Dot 4 fluid. Also as the inside of the cabin was getting really hot due to the engine bay temps being so high Ive also got a Nismo/Z-tune bonnet vent to go on to try and cool all that down.
some pics from Rockingham (you guys should seriously consider the weekender next year, a really good and cheap track weekend with some really polite track goers and not one incident all day)

Kyle dont forget all the charges etc.
The dollar price usually ends up being the gbp price to tlyour door
-
'spouting' is a very strong word and not at all what i did.....
As far as i know seibon dont do them any more hence 'call for stock status'
And also $5800 is going to end up being just about that in £ pnce shipped and taxes paid etc
-
Theyre not dry carbon. Dry carbon wpuld need to be amuse or custom items
-
Do t forget before and after dynos

My phone autocorrects the U

I need a bolt/bung and an adapter for my oil temp gauge but that is also apparently 1/8 npt....so might go straight in
-
-
Longtubes being what torquen offers, and the dc etc being short tubes
-
On an 06 the longtubes give pretty good gains, pre that and you you needs cams as well to see the gains.
-
I dont know....you tell me

Hi guys
I found the answer to this once but didnt bookmark and cant for the life of me find it again.
Im after the thread of the two turbo oil drain ports on the greddy sump. This is so i can get an adapter and fit my oil temp gauge there.
Thanks
-
How much do they weigh please
-
If youre looking for power then the dc ones would be a waste of time and money
Youd be much better off with the long tube ones that Torquen do, they can do stainless as well as coated mild
-
Arrived very promptly!! Thanks a lot, cant wait to fit it and not have the clutch issues at cadwell
-
Non resonated might be close. Why not get a resonated one?
-
Torque bias diffs are better if the cars setup is correct.
Sadly most lower the cars withput any though to correcting roll centres and knacker it all up
-
That looks awesome
-
Isnt stock with a slight rev limit increase geared for well over 200?
And the shortedt fd brings it down to the 170-180 area....

Fitment looks ok but mines a track car so needs to be under 95db
-
Any pictures of the isis exhaust fitted? And what db level is it?
-
Id like one of these please
The trackcar is dead! Long live the trackcar!

Utek - not sre as not had it tubed yet. the interface seems straight forward and pretty idiot proof though. I managed to flash a map to it for my mods and it made a big difference will be for sale soon as I want to go uprev.
seats - not that low at the minute I have to squash myself in round the steering wheel. Im in a catch 22 with it as the Mrs likes driving it and if I make the seats lower they wont slde and she wont be able to drive it. Im actively considering another car as a daily that she can drive and then go full retard with the z.
The PF01 pads work really well even for normal use and arent that noisy EXCEPT after a trackday for a while when they squeal horrifically at low speed. I think its a good trade off for reliable brakes on track though
Trackday was amazing! Booked Cadwell for 21st September and cant wait to get back out in it!!
Changed the slave to the new one from Torqen tonight and bled through some high temp fluid - really straight forward and easy job.
Sadly I then decided to remove the non working A/C and broke the plastic radiator On the hunt for an ally replacement!
