About lizards? These are Blue Tree monitor lizards (pair) from a little island Bird island in papua new guinea!

 

Cage is cool and very lifelike of habitat they live in! Eaven has timed misting and fogging systems!

Came to live with us at 16 weeks old

Likes:

being around people (only people he knows) sitting on laps, any lap will do as long as you sit still long enough he'll be on you.

Loves listening to iPod, as long as the words in the songs are changed so they are about George.

Squirty cream, sweets, prawns and

chicken & cheese (small tins of cat food which contain chicken & cheese)

Sitting in the window or on his balcony soaking up the sun

His over stuffed toy box and his 8 ft long tunnel (fun tube from toys r us for toddlers)

Any cardboard box

Lying in front of the fire warming his belly

Playing fetch

Sleeping

His water fountain

 

Dislikes:

Strangers including all workmen, metre readers etc

Outside - he's quite agrophobic

Waiting for anything - when he wants it he wants it NOW

Loud noises

Being told no

Dont get the snake thing i`m afraid.

 

I like to have something to cuddle and stroke without the thought that it may kill me if its having a bad day. Let alone the thought that it might get out.

King Cobra (Ophiophagus Hannah) means snake eater! only eats other snakes in wild and the largest venomous snake in the world upto 18ft long!! Not the most deady snake as venom not as strong as most other cobras (but the amount it can deliver in one bite) can kill a elephant or 10+ people!

 

yah whot indian and thai snake dancers do to snakes to stop them biteing is ( sow there lips up so cannot open mouth or De-Fang the snake!)

How hard is it to get a licence to keep venomous snakes? I've been keeping reptiles and fish for over 25 years?

Very Hard to get licence! But really depends on area you live (some of the councils are just after cash and others are No No at eney cost) my licence was £1000 and then every animal added was extra!! Also vet checked and fire and police checked!
