Been extremely busy lately but thought this worthy of a post.
Looked forward to detailing this, really impressed with the quality of the car.
Instead of the usual pictures I tried a video this time.
Thanks for viewing.

Love this, a friends XFR has the Spires exhaust too, sounds great.

Nice work, love solution finish. It's not something I have to use all of the time but is a life saver for heavily faded trim as dressing over that just creates a temporary sheen.

You can get the rayon pads and car pro ceri glass is what I use to remove scratching on glass but it's tricky and you have to be careful with heat.

Another thumbs up for the AD08's I have had them fitted for years and the wear rate is very good, still good if your sensible in the wet and not the road noise of the a048s.

Jeez, that was a proper mess. How long did it take you to complete?
Took 5 days in total, 3 on paint and coating, 1 on interior, glass and engine bay and 1 on the wheels and arches. Oh and another day in showers to get the cow pat off me!

Hypnotic pal, awesome work. I have NEVER seen a clay like that before, I doubt my roof tiles would be that dirty!!
Did you paint the discs centres?
Thanks as always buddy.
Disc centres were cleaned up with all purpose cleaner.

Actually looks like a half decent car when it's not in a state. Great job.
Did your friend fancy testing your skills Ed so got the car as filthy as possible before hand? Looks like he took it rallying through a muddy field.
Temporarily lived on a farm! So your not far wrong bud.

Thanks for all the kind comments

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New year been manic lately but have been working on this thread in the evenings.
Had a friends Megane Trophy in a for a full detail recently. In need of a serious tidy up!
The befores:
Clayed:
Quick check with the light:
Paint depth measured (key on a job like this):
Onto the correction, started with a test spot to determine the best pad and polish combination then onto the rest:

Thanks as always guys
@gm id say around 3-4 days, that particular car was near enough a week as the coatings really take a day and the painting of the hubs and calipers slows the process. I do 12 hour days normally though so factor that in too, also the fact im probably not the fastest!

Yeah didnt show the during shots as most cringe!

Any updates on this Chris?
As per usual the advice on here is spot on with clay, tar removers and also fallout removers.
I had this in recently, owner tried everything to remove it, freshly painted then left under a tree. I tried chemical decontamination to no avail and clay didn't touch it. I ended up wet sanding it as it had etched into the freshly painted panel but still removed it.

Then followed up with a finishing polish and pad, this left real depth and gloss to the paintwork:
Wheels,arches and calipers up next:
Back onto the paintwork panel wiped to remove any oils and help the coatings bond:
A double helping of coatings on this car, Miyabi coating used as a base coating then a layer of Ism over the top:
Engine bay befores:
