  1. Well I finally sold the MPS for within £50 of what I had it up for! The problem has now arisen though that the company I work for is closing down at the end of the month, so I best not buy a 350z just yet until I get another job! When I get another job, I'll be looking hard though and picking your collective brains.
  2. It's a '57 plate in silver - just had a major service and done 49k - thought the £6000 I was asking was quite reasonable?! Early days still though really...
  3. Well the MPS has been up for sale on a few forums for a week and today on gumtree. (try the free ones first) I'll pop it on autotrader and Pistonheads after easter if I don't get any sniffs before. Getting impatient to get a zed now as I keep seeing some I'd go and view if only the MPS had sold!

    Clay Bar???

If you use Bilt Hamber clay, then water is fine. Certainly makes it much cheaper to do a whole car. (Although I do add a tiny bit of supernatural shampoo for a bit more lube)

    Clay Bar???

If you are planning on claying, then the Farécla's G3 Detox shampoo you can get from Hellfrauds does make it a whole lot easier from my experience. It strips the wax / polish from the paintwork so the clay doesn't need to take that off, only the contaminants it's best at removing. It also helps to reduce the possibility of swirl creation from taking as much of the products off the paintwork (with a suitable wash mitt / 2 bucket method etc) before you start to clay. 6. Use Bilt Hamber clay products as you can use plain old water as a lube so no excuse to not use enough. (Add a little car shampoo to get a little extra lube (oo-er, sounds a bit rude)) And remember to keep folding the clay after every 1 - 2 square foot of cleaning and don't rub - just glide it over the surface with little to no weight. http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/bilt-hamber/auto-clay-original.aspx I got this kit and it's excellent: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/das-6-pro-lake-country-hydro-tech-and-menzerna-kit/prod_842.html
  7. Thanks for all the welcomes - sure seems like a friendly place
  8. Now I've said that I'll probably end up getting one! I'll be buying on condition and history so whatever the colour / spec etc is, it won't be a deal breaker.
  9. Yup - keeping an eye on the for sales here as well as everywhere else! Hopefully will be seriously looking for a zed soon as my MPS will be keenly priced for a quick sale. (And it's pretty immaculate - expect OCD detailing threads!)
  10. There's a Roadster I see every day for sale but the price is a bit rich: http://www.a-t-car-sales.co.uk/used-cars/nissan-350-z-3-5-v6-2dr-corby-201312050347453 Might nip in one Saturday for a cheeky test drive even though I don't want a Roadster..
  11. Cheers - I've read those guides countless times now after searching for what's for sale! Great info
  12. Hello all! Just waiting to get the private plate off my Mazda 3 MPS, then it'll be up for sale and I'll be looking for a nice Zed. Hopefully I'll be after a 2006> that's been well looked after with fairly low miles for about £8k. Looking about on the usual websites that'll be achievable with a little patients. As I now live within 4 miles of work, (hence getting rid of the MPS that's a great all rounder) it'll predominately become a weekend / fun car as I'll have a daily (or even walk / a bike if I'm feeling healthy!) to keep the zeds miles low. Anyway - hello and thanks for all the invaluable info on here before I hope to become an active member once I take the plunge
