  1. Looking at getting a new set of tires not looking at going too expensive yet until i get my alloys refurbished. Looking for reviews and comments on each brand as I'm buying tomorrow and not sure which one to get?

  2. So after just sorting my fans out with the mishimoto fans my battery has decided to give in ergghhh.

Anyway i was just wondering as i have seen online some jap imports have different bateries my negative terminal is on the driver side and positive on passanger side. I have a jap battery in after abit of research a Varta Blue B31 CCA 330 Voltage 12 Capacity 45.

Tonight i was just going to take the battery off and walk to the local garage see if they could replace it. Is there replacements about?

I jump started it the other day and took it for a long drive to hopefully charge it up seen as it didnt work and has been sitting around for a week and half. The voltmeter read 14V while driving so i presumed my alternator was working ok and my battery was dieing.

I parked up checked the voltmeter after turning the engine off and it read just below 12V not enough to turn it over and start again :( can i confirm it is the battery with everyone it just clicks when i try turn it over and drains the battery even more.

And can anyone recommend me a price and place to get the imported cars battery as i am fed up of not having my car now.

  3. Haha sorry buddy I did try like I said rang Nissan and they wouldn't touch it saying they didn't have a import parts book or something I tried to round my area and just got fed up and did it myself a tiny tine amount of power steering and transmission fluid did come out then if that is what them two small pipes are.

I will get searching now and carry on tomorrow I know how to bleed my coolant not too sure about the power steering doubt I'll have to top up the transmission I watched a YouTube video and there seems to be loads in there and only a smidge came out in comparison managed to get the mole grips on before too much came out.

I'll have my warm up tomorrow top the coolants up have a test run and if I still have problems I promise you I'll take it to a pro.

    Cheers

  4. You may all be fed up of me asking questions now but I have another Ive know removed the fans easy once you know how and confidence on what you are doing.

However question I drained the radiator coolant by removing the outlet and draining I was just wondering what the other two pipes are at the bottom of the rad a lot smaller and a oily kind of red liquid came out of both first time I did this I wasn't sure but I'm fed up of not having my car now so I got some mole grips and clamped the pipes shut so no liquid came out of them not that much seemed to be dripping out of the rad. I had tissue to block the pipes just in case but they wasn't needed.

What was this liquid? Are the the same liquid? What's the purpose of them being there? And when inserting my new fan and reconnecting all my pipes back up will I have to been this pipe or something like the coolant or just make sure whatever it is the level is still good?

  5. I am looking for help.

today I began the job of removing my fans as I had a problem with the suspected fan motors. I now face a problem as I can't get the suckers out.

I have looked at other forums but they all go on to bleeding and so fourth. I have drained the radiator empty of all coolants. I have took a overflow bottle out and took the big cooling pipe out that's right next to the bottle going over the fans. I have obviously electrically disconnected it and removed the screws so it's completly free from anything.

However I just can't lift the fans out I really do not want to remove the radiator is there any easy guide on how to remove the fans without removing the radiator I can't even get the things out never mind getting them back in scratching everything on the way down. So I'm looking for a quick easy method with pictures or video if anyone has them available ill be carrying on my work tomorrow now so e more info the better.

  6. Update I made it home without a problem temperature stayed stable popped the hood when I got home while engine was still running no fan was on at all pretty sure I am now deff though from having the heaters on full blast cooking me from the outside in while the windows was down the motorway to keep cool the road noise was horrendous. Anyway cooler maintained its level no weird noises from inside or leaks so it's all looking good going to check levels when it cools down and on to lookin for a fan.

  7. Yeah looks like its coming from there GM so does that not need fixing or is it supposed to do that and cheers davedutch will have a scout around my area of pontefract to find one unless anyone on here knows anybody good from around that area

  8. Cheers ricky and ebized. May the force be with me ha yeah i'm pretty sure one fan will not be enough when I'm in a stand still sure i can make it though then plans for home will be to by a set of mishimoto fans get it serviced and get a garage to drain fill my radiator or if i can find a topic on here on how to do it i may try myself and to have a garage give it an all round check especially that mysterious leak on the passenger side.

  9. Sotook a 10 min trip out today which went ok when I stopped to park up etc I noticed the temperature creeping up with one fan on. Seen as I had to put about 3 cups of coolant in as when it boiled over it leaked and steamed off do you think it would be good to bleed it if there is any trapped air in the system.

If there's trapped air in there what would be the consequences off this and what would it do?

And another nooby question how would I go about bleeding it I would look in my owners manual but unfortunately that's still at home so a explanation for dumbys would be great. If pictures was to be involved also that would be even better.

  10. Quick update went for a quick test dri e 10 mins down the road trmperature held but with air con and without air con fans dod not come on either so they are definitly shagged thanks for the help guys going to have to buy some mishimoto fans anybody got any reviews on them and how they find them to the OEM fans. Hopefully i will make the journey home.tomorrow with not too much trouble if the cars maintaining decent temperature while running will just have to avoid the traffic.
