Sounds EXACTLY like what I had - check the oil or just get it changed now!!!!

No leak...no patches on the drive...complete mystery as I don't think the DE burns oil as a rule? Regardless, Ewen has hooked me up with a new engine which will hopefully be transplanted in the next couple of weeks!!! I'll try and get pics etc. on here as the work progresses...

For reasons unknown to me, my Z has suddenly lost most of its oil and virtually dried out with no warning lights whatsoever- and the garage reckons it would be most cost effective to get a new lump in it as opposed to fixing it. Crank bearings are just the beginning of my problems...

It's a 2003 model DE. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who can supply me with an engine fit for purpose? The car will drive (for now) so I can get it to someone reasonably close...but it's remaining miles are limited!

Glad of ANY help anyone can offer...I'm desperate!

Get an mx5 for a year and learn the characteristics of a rwd. Touch wood ul have a years ncb and valuable real world experience. Mx5 are plenty fun too, (Iv got one ☺ï¸)

Can't fault your taste but I would NOT drop thousands on just insuring the beast, especially NOT fully comp, cos if you crash it, she's gone...!

Now my centre pipe has snapped, I'm looking at replacing everything back from the y-pipe for a nicer system - currently deciding between the Cobra and the Scorpion systems for around the £400 mark.

Couple of questions though -

A lot of ebay sellers claim free postage- has anyone had any experience of buying these from eBay as opposed to a reputable seller? Or am I better going with a firm known to the forum? Do any offer free delivery?

Do these things generally come WITH the necessary gaskets?

My emissions will be unaffected come MOT time, right?

Yeah, I considered Plastidip...do you have any experience with it? What's it like to work with? And it peels off again after if you need it to, is that right?

Also - does any shop stock it, or is it online purchase only?

So I'd like black badges front and rear - but don't really want to drop £50 ish on a pair of badges - is there any reason I can't remove and paint the regular ones I've got? Was thinking g a bit of etch primer and matt black would sort it...

Cheers all - I recently found a very cheap reseller of AG stuff, so I'll see if they've got this in...and I think I need a stiff-ish brush of some sort to really get in there! Previous owner has also tried to spray the seats with orange paint, so I've got my work cut out here! Will post results as I get them at the weekend!

I've got a 53 plate Z - and after 10 years, the leathers looking a bit....grubby.

So , I purchased some ArmorAll leather wipes, which, with a LOT of pressure, moved a lot of the muck from the seats, but not all.

I'm still left with ground-in dirt that I'm sure, with the right product, will lift out. I'm looking for something that's a bit more...aggressive? than the leather wipes.

Has anyone here been in a similar predicament with their bright orange seats, and what products have you used?

Going to be doing mine soon, did you manage to get the vinyl right into the bottom of the handle on the drivers side? And if yes, how?

Headlight Washers - are they supposed to be aimed so high they wet the windscreen too? IS THIS NORMAL?

Gearbox - 1st and 2nd are a bit stiffer and harder to push into place? IS THIS NORMAL?

Bluetooth - I have the BT adapter, pairs with the iPhone 4 great, makes/receives calls - can I use voice commands, and what are they?
