motordyne here and no noise issues, also no cats
cool, do you happen to know what static test level you get?
-
hmmm...this is going to be predictably tricky.
had I titled this thread 'Wanted - Loud Exhaust' I would have expected a list of two or three exhausts by now, but asking for the opposite is more difficult.
Actually, I want a Motordyne one (buying with my ears, not my head), but not if it would fail a drive-by limit at Bedford, so can anyone answer that question directly.

Having been around the block a few times in my previous incarnation with RX-7's, I need to be sure that any exhaust I choose will be usable on trackdays (I recently had a very dull day at Bedford with my last car, having to lift off as I passed all five monitoring points every lap ).
So, out of the myriad of choices of exhausts, is there any to avoid outright as they will be 105dB+ regardless? Like a Motordyne - is it loud as well as beautiful?!
I have searched, but I get the impression that most people here are more about the sound than the outright volume on track.

Gotta say this is one Uuuuuuugly mother of a rear diffuser sorry guys just my thinking if you have one and you like it then that's all that counts
I have to say, after checking out google images...
you're absolutely right! each to their own...
-
any chance this would fit with nismo v1 spats?
-
$1,600?????

got a mate with an s2000 and we're probably going to do abingdon on the 15th instead. nice track and dead easy to get to, and cheap so won't lose much to the rain

Like Columbo, just one more thing...
3. I've searched and failed to find a manual for the standard stereo that came in 2005 cars, particularly how the bluetooth works, or whether the option is fully installed? I have the sat nav manual though.

EDIT: Cracked this one, turns out google is better at searching this forum than the forum search!

I am the new owner of UY #171 of 176
It came factory fitted with a Nismo V1 bodykit but the engine needs a little TLC as it's missed a service in the last few years, and is due one now.
Interestingly, the original owner posted online in 2005 when he bought it, here: http://avtalk.co.uk/...ead.php?t=11250

I am now the proud owner of #171 of 176, which I'll post on another thread, but a couple of noobish questions:
1. Is a sticky clutch pedal, which flaps at the top of its travel and then suddenly drops to the normal range, a common problem?
2. Is there a rear diffuser which fits with the Nismo V1 rear spats?
I'll do some searching, but a quick answer on each will help me look for things...
EDIT: Okay, got the answer to question one - will instruct my garage to change the clutch fluid for higher temperature stuff and adjust the top pedal travel to 3mm.
EDIT EDIT: And question two.. well, I shouldn't be modifying, so I'll leave this one a while.

right, paid a deposit now so should be driving it home on sunday...a little clue, it's one of only 176 made, but that's not what makes it unique ;-)
-
aarrgghh...the seller is going back on the price we agreed. Managed to agree a new deal, but I won't be sure until I get the keys! why is nothing ever simple...
-
well, i'm a step nearer buying my zed and found the best example of the best that i could hope for...but not in red! fingers crossed...should pick it up this weekend somehow
-
ash, your number plate is for the wrong car!

currently on the top of the list is a RX7
...carried out by a well respected specialist. Re-Worx, Hayward Rotary, Rx Motors, Powergains, WGT, Dragon Performance.
Plenty of info on fduk or mazdarotaryclub
not all respected ;-) but agree 100% with the above

Thanks! I've now got four cars in mind and planning a roadtrip on wednesday to see some of them, long trip!
-
This is mine for sale too probably better emailing me though as very rarely on this http://www.pistonhea...airlady/1737612
I keep looking at it and remembering that I live in a different country! (and there's too many miles on it, too)
-
any more cars possibly for sale?
-
How modified? This modified?
Mechanically its fairly standard but the bodywork is all one off, as is paint and wheels
Let's talk..
-
Why don't you just buy cheap stock and mod yourself?
been there, done that, and got kids
was only kidding about the colour :-)
-
So...can I get a 313 with Nismo V1 kit and GT4 alloys...in red, please, with uprated internals to make a little more power, but for less than 10k?
-
lol...and I guess the kit is a copy too?
It could still be a good buy at the right price with the new clutch and flywheel.
The GT4 special looks nice, but miles away to go see!
