Hi all ....Recently went away on holiday and my battery ran down so disconnected it to charge. Now my passenger window wont work or auto close the last cm when the door is shut. Is this normal? it was working before the battery was disconnected. I have been researching the window reset procedure will this work? not great at these things so don't want to take the door apart unless there's a good possibility of a fix. Thanks!

I have been driving my Z the same route every day for a year now and ive never seen less than 17mpg. For the last week the reading said 4.5mpg, today 4.6mpg.......with an average of 22mpg and ive even been driving slightly slower because of weather. Can this be right....has anyone else seen anything this low?

Thanks for the replies guys. Last time i checked oil was about 6 weeks ago and everything looked good (youre right i should check more often)....will check again this evening. No warning lights on the dash, will look for smoke from exhaust later but nothing noticeable before but then i havent really been looking for it. Thanks again will get back later.

Very concerned about my Z's engine, sounds rough on tick over and terrible sound when you turn the engine off. Its a 54 with 67k miles, no apparent loss of performance, starts everytime, might be a little high on fuel consumption (but what z isnt?). Had its big service at nissan Nov 2013 but they didnt do the spark plugs (they forgot to order them!!!) and they said the exhaust was a little corroded. Went through MOT last month. The first 15 seconds is recorded inside the car the rest im holding the phone out of the window. Thanks sooo much for this guide. Ive been haunted by this issue for several months now, had everything apart loads of times trying different thickness of paper/washers to no avail. With this guide, 5 mins and £2.65 i have a perfectly working sound system! Thanks for taking the time to post this.

I will grab myself some 'uprated' ones from Clark Motorsport .........would love to lower the car and get adjustables but local road quality and speed bumps prevent Thanks for your help!

Hi guys looking to replace my ARB endlinks. I have a bad creak from offside rear and a knocking from front. Nissan garage at last service said the rear droplinks are worn so pretty confident thats where the creaking is coming from. The knocking is at low speeds mainly when on flat rough surfaces, it doesnt seem to stop whilst braking so hoping its not a banana arm issue Anyway i wanted your advice on what to buy....seems the choice in the UK is nissan or whiteline. Anyone using whiteline, they look great to me...... are they a better choice than standards even though im never gonna lower the car? Im looking for strength rather than adjustability!! I ask because the USA guys seem to go for Powergrid or SPL and avoid whiteline due to concerns over the exposed joints???. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Could have been but it didnt appear to be a solid object, perhaps as simple as splash from a puddle but im still thinking smoke or pressurised liquid...my concern was that the brake line had failed (split or popped off)....is there much pressure build up in those lines, does it increase the harder you press the pedal?

So after fitting my new front discs and pads (first time fitting) I went for a spin to bed them in. On my last of the 10 declarations from 60mph, just as the car was straining to a stop something white shot out of the wheel (drivers side but possibly the passengers also...i didnt see). This could of been a puff of smoke but maybe liquid under pressure its difficult to tell as i only saw out of the corner of my eye. I pulled over, everything looked fine and brakes worked very well but a thunder storm and torrential rain came over so drove home. My questions are: 1) Any ideas what this could have been did i mess up fitting? 2) I didnt finish the bedding in procedure as recommended, can i do it again or is it a one time deal? I fitted some black diamond predator pads from cougarstore.co.uk yesterday...if your budget doesnt allow for some of the others mentioned there are a pretty good choice. Excellent service from CS also.

Hi Guys...Im looking to jack my car up for the first time. After a quick flick through the service manual I noticed it suggests the use of a Kent-Moore Safety stand attachment (I assume this is for axle stands). Does anyone know where to get these or even if they are necessary? Cheers

CS im on the Isle of Wight unfortunately but am deffo in the market for a whole new set of discs, pads and rear drop link. How hard is it to change the discs yourself?

Hi Y'all....finally got my z last week, its a 2004 kuro GT and i love it! Quite a difference from my 1.6 Megane LOL. Anyway just got it back from the Nissan dealer as i put it through a P3. Here is the summary front pads 100% worn, rear pads 60% worn, exhaust corroded, rear discs corroded, rear droplinks worn, pas hose leaking, front discs scored/corroded...and some other minor stuff. On the drive home, when ever i went above 35mph, i noticed a rapid repeating knocking noise from the rear on the passenger side...sounded like it might be something hitting the wheel arch over and over again. The best way i can describe the sound is its like when kids used to put cards and such in the spokes of their bikes, the faster you go the louder and faster it gets!! Would this be the rear droplinks? wasn't there before it went to nissan. I apologise my first post is a load of questions, i had wanted to introduce myself and post some piccys but really need some advice before i phone nissan in the morning. Any opinions would be great appreciated. Cheers
