  2. compared to a modern bike it is @*!# slow, as are the vast majority of cars out ther

The face of a supercar driver as you pulled away on the back wheel from 50, 60, 70+ is a sight to behold :)

    not always :p

I did say vast majority ;)

  3. I don't understand people who compare bikes and cars .... Just so different .

You can have fun with both :)

Although I still ride on the road, albeit at sedate pace now, most my riding is on track, that is where you should be testing man (or woman) and machine

  4. By a bike ;)

A lot of folk say to me, wow, I bet your car is quick, well, it aint, its lovely to drive, looks good and sounds great, but the fact is, compared to a modern bike it is @*!# slow, as are the vast majority of cars out there

Anyway, it's not about if you can pull away from xyz in a straight line, its toasting them on the twisty bits

  5. I don't see that as being detrimental when coming to sell the car

Which is fine, if you're the one buying the car that you're selling....

If however the buyer is someone else, someon who disagrees with that (and there's plenty of reason on this thread to suggest that a number of people would see it as questionable if not detrimental) then all you're doing is reducing your target market for, as Ekona says, the sake of saving £40.

But a £40 receipt for oil is not a replacement for service history as the OP was about

I,m saying that if I were to sell mine, or be looking to buy one that had low mileage, was what I was looing for but had missed a service, that would not put me off and the price will not greatly reflect this

  6. Three years without a service?!

I'd want it for very cheaps, looking at that.

My roadster was last serviced Nov 2013

It will be serviced Nov this year having probably put 4000 miles on

I don't worry about missing a service with low mile usage

Modern day oils and fluids don't degrade and break down over that period

I don't see that as being detrimental when coming to sell the car

  7. I love the look of both roadster and coupe

I bought a roadster as its a second car and a bit of a toy

With the roof down it looks great and sounds great

And yes, you can use it for more than two weeks in the year ;)
