The cooper s is tuned, it's a monster! The TT is standard and the Black Zed is too pretty much. Mine isn't modded much, lowered on Teins, spacers, K1 exhaust, throttle controller, induction kit all pretty basic stuff. It's got a horrible dent in the side and and an odd coloured wheel so doesn't look pretty but mechanically it is spot on!

It is lethal in the wet so be warned! In the dry it's fine as long as you keep an eye in your mirrors, you will have a plethora of BMWs/Porsches coming past you at crazy speeds, amongst other cars of course!

But yeah as long as you don't drive like an idiot you'll be fine!

No one is being spiteful or intentionally horrible mate, if you put a thread up people will voice their opinions. It's nothing personal, you just got to take the rough with the smooth and like many have said it's your choice what you do with the car.

Not a fan of them at all but it's up to you, if you like them that's all that matters!

Brave man! The car sounds unreal but yeah can't be doing that on the roads, that could have ended so badly.

So perhaps best to get the new KYB ones? Has anyone had experience with them I did a search and only saw people complaining on then American forum.

I'm not going to japfest unfortunately but if I do go down that route would you be able to deliver them? Failing that I live in hertfordshire if that's close to you?

I run the tein springs and bilstein b6 shocks ...... A great combo IMO . I also have some low mileage (25k ) standard shocks if you want them that should be fine .

Cheers! I had a look at them, they're quite pricey! How much would you want for the standard shocks?

I just want to know if they will be okay as my standard ones blew but that may be because they had been on the car since new.

So I bought some Tein lowering springs, fitted them and all good! Then a few days after the front end started bouncing a lot, the shocks were also leaking so I knew they were shot. I can get some second hand low mileage OEM shocks from Zmanalex which is good but will they be okay? I spoke to a mechanic who said he can get me new shocks the make is KYB but I looked them up and had some bad reviews.

Tein springs state that the springs can be used with OEM shocks but just looking for some guidance really.

And I don't need the "you should have got coilovers" comments because that's not helpful right now. I know they are a better option but I didn't/don't have the money for that.

I am running Tein springs and 25/30mm spacers it's absolutely fine no rubbing etc but my exhaust does catch on some bumps now.

I don't scrape at all but will be getting the cobra non res soon.

There is a guy on Facebook selling a set of rays with no tyres for 200 if that's cheap enough to solve your needed front wheel issue.
