  1. Giving this one a little bump, every time I go in the garage I see this kit sat there begging to be fitted to a zed.   More than happy to discuss sensible pricing.   And can also discuss the possibility of meeting up to handover.

I travel between Darlington and the South of the country on a regular basis, so more than happy to meet a buyer at a Service station or similar.

    Thanks for looking

  2. Hi "Scotzman",

Roughly 41"W x 22"H x 10"D (By the time you have packing on).   Thats being on the generous side and allowing for a good layer or two of bubble-wrap.

Unfortunately despite travelling around the country, the nearest I get to you is unfortunately passing through by train on the way to Inverness.

My daughter who is a HGV driver and did get up that way, is currently on maternity leave.

Unless any of the guys on the forum are heading that way, and I dont mind meeting someone to pass over the goods, ultimately courier is going to be the quickest I reckon.

It will all be bubble wrapped this weekend so its ready for whoever goes for it.  All the fixing kit is there as well, whole thing as normally supplied by Torqen.

  3. Bought this off Torqen when they very first came on the market, but due to work commitments never got around to fitting it, its been hanging in the garage every since.

The Zed went a good while ago, and just decided to have a sort out in the garage as its was a nice afternoon.   Grabbed some pics and here we are.

Unfortunately I cannot arrange courier services, so ideally local pick-up OR if someone wants to arrange their own courier, then I am more than happy to pack and wrap.

Payment:  I don't have PayPal, closed that down many moons ago, so its either "Bank Transfer" or Cash on collection.

Location:  I am in Darlington (30mile South of Newcastle)

    IMG_1989.jpg.33cdd8db3c4b1f50b7cdde9630f4ca0d.jpg IMG_1991.jpg.c5d78b1fe05fe39b3ecd708f2bf8f8e7.jpg

happy to answer any questions, also happy to email over any additional photo's a potential buyer may want.

Price:  £150 i think is a fair price for something that's never been used, not even a trial fit.   I don't want to de-value Torqen kit.  I think its a bargain price for anyone who might be in the market for this superb piece of kit.

And I am sure I am going to find other bits 'n' pieces knocking around, that I can throw in the bundle ;-)

    Thanks for looking

  4. Various parts that I have had laying around the garage.   The car went may months ago, and I just never got around to sorting all these bits out.

With the larger parts I am putting up, I would prefer collection (I am in Darlington).   I don't have any courier facilities.  If someone wants to arrange their own courier and insurance, then I am happy to pack the items up.

Payment Terms:  Bank Transfer or cash  I don't have PayPal..... Sorry

Still a lot of the guys on the forum that will probably remember me, and can vouch for my honesty and integrity if anyone is concerned, especially with me not being on for a while.

Just too much work and not enough play, which was the reason why I decided to let the car go.

    .

So first up, brand new badge as supplied by our friends at "Tarmac Sportz".

    IMG_1981.jpg.96b71e6a9f4dfe26fa1445c230cede35.jpgIMG_1982.jpg.67712b65c7a4b2792d0e34fc5f21512f.jpg

As you can see, the 3M tape is still sealed and ready for fitting.    Asking £25 incl delivery, so there's a little saving there

Next up is a complete HID Kit I purchased to convert the existing pre-facelift lights.   Includes the bulbs, Ballasts, and a complete set of LED bulbs.

Happy to take £30 Incl standard delivery

Next is a Custom Sub, This is a direct fit in the existing position behind the drivers seat.   Comes ready to fit and complete with brand new JL Audio Sub.  I never got round to fitting this little lot.   The front corner of the box sustained some damage, but not fixed and fits in position without any issues.   And once you get the OEM Grill back on, nobody will see:

As this little lot is heavy, buyer would either need to collect OR arrange a courier and Insurance.   Given the slight repair job, I am happy to take £85 for this, which will come complete with the new sub, wiring and connector box.  I will also through in a load of new high quality components use for fitting audio kits.

Happy to answer any questions, or even send higher quality photo's to any interested in any of this.

I am in Darlington, 30mile south of Newcastle.   .

    Thanks for looking.

  5. Bit of a sad time for me having finally decided its time to sell the Zed.  Has nothing to do with needing the money or anything like that.   Its down to work/life balance which is non-existent really.

I just dont get the time to drive the Zed, gets pulled out of the garage every week, engine run up and everything checked, then back in the garage.  Maybe a quick run to work now and again, but nothing like she deserves.  Couple of oil changes/services per year...... all to keep me happy.

I would hate to add up what I have spent on her, always ensuring she got the best I could afford.   Been a member of the forum for a good few years, but alas the last couple of years its only been a case of looking at the forum every now and again.

So with heavy heart I have decided she must go to someone who can drive her and show her off to her best.  I will be sad to let her go, but its just got to the point where I hate seeing her just sat in the garage.

Asking Price is £7950.   Possibly some think on the high side, but I believe this reflects the standard of the car

Sale will include a full range of SiRamik care products to ensure the coating stays in its fantastic condition.

Mid 2016 having replaced the standard bonnet with the “Bonnet Bulge” bonnet of the 2006+ version, the whole front end and sides had a professional respray in original Nissan Black.  This was a brand new bonnet supplied by local Nissan dealer.

3 weeks after this, the car underwent a full body correction over 3 days, which was finalised with SiRamik Glasscoat Sealant to preserve the gleaming bodywork.

Most servicing during ownership has been carried out at my son’s garage or with Falcon Performance who have a very high standard.

All MoT’s have gone straight through without advisories.  The car is kept in the garage all the time and does not come out in bad weather.  During ownership, I have averaged about 1000 miles per year.

Those who have seen the vehicle have described it as immaculate, both interior and exterior.  Garages are generally blown away when they see the engine bay and how clean it is.

Clutch was replaced at 51,747 miles  By Falcon Performance, this included:

    ·         Genuine Nissan Clutch Kit (3 piece kit)

    ·         New Dual-Mass Flywheel

    ·         Genuine Nissan Release Fork

    ·         Genuine Nissan Clutch Fork Clips

    ·         Gearbox filled with MT-XY 75w/85 Gear Oil

    ·         Molyslip Gearbox Protector

    ·         VLSD Differential Fluid

There is a folder full of receipts, including the original service manual with all stamps, and the original leather folder with all the docs that come with it when you buy a new car.  All receipts for parts and upgrades purchased are there, the list of receipts is endless.

BAD BITS – and every car has them, no matter what age they are.
There is a tiny 2mm mark on the driver’s door which you cannot see unless you really look
On the roof there is a couple of stone chips – nothing major and nothing that stands out
The wheels have some very minor kerb rash, again nothing that stands out, but previous owner had clipped them, and given the little miles it does, I never got around to it.

Rear view camera has been fitted and all cables from headunit have been ran through, it just needs the final phase of connection in the boot area.

    Remarks:
The car has been lavished with the best I could afford no matter what it needed.  It has genuinely spent its life in the garage out of the elements, and I believe this is reflected in the overall condition of the car, which many have described as immaculate.   Always turn’s heads no matter where I take it, and the Invidia along with the Berk Cats give it a spine tingling sound whilst not being too loud.  There is no droning at all from the exhaust, so motorway miles are an absolute pleasure.

The car is a pleasure to drive, whether a gentle cruise or “other”.  Servicing has been kept up, either by my own hands, or via my son’s garage (Motor trade).

All major work has been carried out by Falcon Engineering, who is a member of the forum, and they have a very high standard, as many other owners will confirm.

It has not been driven during winter months or rainy periods, so has been kept away from road salt.

I honestly believe that the first person to see it, will buy it.   Really is in top class condition, and I will be sorry to see it go, but I just don’t have time these days with my work commitments.

The asking price is probably a little higher than average, but I believe this reflects the high standard of the vehicle.  I am in no hurry to sell, and it’s not a case of selling for the money.

Any viewing is welcomed, I am in Darlington, Co Durham (40mins South of Newcastle), we have a train station 5 mins away, and airport within 10 mins or Newcastle airport within 40 mins, very happy to collect anyone who wants to view.  We are literally 2.1 miles off Jn 59 on the A1

Regarding test driving, I don’t have an issue with this, as long as anyone wanting to test drive has adequate insurance to cover not only any third party damage, but also damage to my vehicle (Fully Comp).   Anyone serious about purchasing, can obtain “day insurance” exactly for this purpose.

All the pictures I have of the car going through the various stages of ownership are on my “Photobucket” account, I have broken them down into various sub-folders, i.e. Rims, Interior, Engine bay.   So please make sure you have a good look at all photos..  Happy to provide any additional photos a potential buyer may want.

I have added a couple of photo's just to wet any appetites, but the bulk of the Hi-Res photo's are on my Photobucket pages, divided into sub folders, ie: Engine Bay, Correction, Interior Retrim, etc etc.   So make sure if you browse the page, you also visit the sub-folders to get the true picture of how stunning this car really is.

I am happy to provide any additional photo's on request.

  6. Sorry all, Mark (Suprawookie) jumped on these like greased lightning.   SOLD SUBJECT TO FINAL PAYMENT

I have an excellent condition pair of headlights, these are the updated 2006+ revision, genuine Nissan, and come complete with all bulbs, ballasts, etc.

There are no broken clips, chips or anything like that.

I purchased these mid 2017 with the intention of fitting them to my 2005.  These fit the earlier models without modification, and give the front end a modern like, with the advantage of Bi-Xenon, so greater light output on the dark nights.

Only reason I am selling these and other bits from my collection, is that due to work commitments I just dont get the opportunity to drive the Zed anymore, made worse by just taking delivery of a nice "Grand Sport" ...... Yes I know its a work car, but still very nice  :-)

Looking for £500 incl Secure delivery.

I am based in Darlington, and happy for any local enthusiasts to come and view.

I also travel extensively throughout the UK, so may be possible to drop off at a meeting point.

Other Hi-Res images available for any potential buyers.  I am aware its a bad time of year for this sort of stuff, so as long as we can sort a deposit, I am willing to hold on till the Start of January.

    Thanks for looking

  7. Gearboxes can be a right nightmare without the correct tools, gauges and know-how. I know many a mechanic who avoids them like the plague and leaves them to the expert..... Just make sure you are prepared before undertaking this task.

  8. IIRC the lifetime guarantee covers not moving components.

So sockets and breaker bars are covered but ratchets aren't.

I've got the large pro set. Paid less than half price around 3 years ago. Used extensively and never let me down.

Odd you mentioning this. I have the 200 piece set Halfords Advanced, and the small ratchet went on me, took it back and they said it excluded moving parts. Also told me I needed to produce my original receipt.

Last night when I saw this ad, it prompted me to email Halfords about this. This morning I got a response from their customer care team, who have contacted my local branch and advised them they were wrong to turn me away, they say:

Please accept my sincere apologies for this concern. Halfords prides itself on offering a range of high quality products and services, and any concerns expressed by our customers are treated very seriously.

I can confirm that your Halfords Advanced Socked Set does include a Lifetime Guarantee and the store should have honoured this with or without receipt.

I have contacted the store and advised them of the incorrect advice you were given and they will be willing to exchange your item upon your next visit.

Which I think was dam good of them to respond on a Sunday, and give the branch a ticking off. I shall be down there tomorrow with a big smile, changing the duff ratchet...... and I wont even say "told you so" :teeth:

  9. We use Britannia and have done for years, both of our cars are covered plus we have personal cover and my daughters car is registered on the account, gives us full at home, continental, and whilst we are in other cars, costs us just over £100 a year, which I think is good for peace of mind....

Daughter has used the service in the past, and as soon as they know elderly, disabled or children are present, they are there within 30 mins. Nice clean trucks as well, which is a bonus if you are unfortunate enough to have to be recovered...... My wife did..... Twice... Blowing her MR2 engine twice on the rollers..... she is now banned from power shoot outs :-)

  10. as a general rule it is, some have managed to get a bit more discount due to relationship with the dealer. Mine came out at a tad over £280 with VAT and delivery to my local branch - They did give me a decent discount for being in the forum. Took them 24hrs to get it and it came well packed, although I left all packing with them and it fitted in the back of my Mondeo without problem.

It meant I had a good base to start with.

Definitely the best route to go for the HR bonnet.

  11. The honest answer is...... it will be easier to purchase direct from Nissan. They are under £300 for a brand new one, and I am sure there must be someone in Manchester can do a reasonable spray job at a reasonable price.....cash in hand ;)

Loads of users have asked the same thing over the years, and always end up buying a new one. At least you are guaranteed a perfect bonnet.
