I don't know if you have a different tray but the S5 is millimetre perfect in mine. It took a bit of wiggling to get it seated but it's not going anywhere.
-
The S5 is a tight squeeze but it’s a definite upgrade in terms of cranking power. It’s never started so quickly or easily!

Hell, I'm going to have to do this, it's been driving me mad and, like you, I've squirted all sorts of lube at it to no avail.
Superb tutorial, big thanks.

That's the issue though: because it doesn't spray far I use loads of fluid trying to reach all areas.
Thinking about it, I wonder if a previous owner was over-zealous with a pin and the jets have been bored out.
-
Don't most cars have the jets mounted at the bottom of the windscreen / on the bonnet which spray up and cover everything. On the Z they are inside the wipers so don't need to blast out.
In theory, this might work. In practice it's dreadful!
You'd assume they tested it.

Thanks folks, so it sounds like dribbling is normal. It's the only car I've ever driven which didn't cover the arc with a mist of washer fluid(possibly a better description than foam). I'll try a straight-through connector for comparison. Then a wire-brush bristle in the jets.
I can't believe that this is as-designed!

Hi all,
I'm aware that it can be problematic but mine really is pathetic.
The headlight wash is foamy and enthusiastic, I know because it covers the front of the car and beyond.
The window washers are useless, as per the picture below (this is in full flow). I get pathetic flow and no foam.
I've checked the non-return valve and replaced it just in case. It made no difference.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Bagz

I'm hoping to avoid a respray but I'll bear it in mind, thanks,

Does anyone have one of these in perfect condition? It's for my roadster but I don't think they're different the the coupe for this part.
Thanks,
Bagz

Big service plus brake pads for me. Very reasonable and the car feels superb.
I'll be back.
-
Shame. Thanks for coming back.

Any chance that you've got these in stock again?
Don't fancy Carbon Fibre.
Thanks,
Bagz.

Search the forum for links to the service manual, it has the wiring diagrams for audio, satnav etc.

Anyone spending £250k on a supercar should!

The switchgear in the XJ220 is terrible though, cheap Ford stuff, shared with a sierra.

Another happy customer. Super fast delivery and a pleasure to deal with.
Thanks Ewen.

Ah, damn. Thanks for the info.
I'll have to buy a parrot or somethign instead.

Any idea if I can retro fit that to a 2008 Roadster (Bose) and does it include Mic & everything required?
Cheers,
Bagz.

Let it warm up for 'at least 30 seconds' according to the manual.
I do this and during that 30 seconds the revs drop in stages from 2000 to 1000, then I set off.

Mine's an 08 or I'd have it. Not much use, sorry!

But wouldn't it be classed as undertaking if you "overtake" on the nearside, particularly the car had actually come to a stop?
On that specific point, apparently not. If the cab was still moving, it's undertaking. As it's parked, it's not. It's just riding like a dick (not illegal).

So I popped in to TGM today and the damage will be ~£500.
I met both Gannon brothers who took plenty of time to talk it through with me and didn't mind answering my questions about their race cars. We chatted about tracks, racing, bikes (motor) etc.
Got a good feeling about them so will get it sorted & serviced there.
Thanks for the recommendation.

.....................Although i got a nice certificate for the wall and a report to waft in front of my missus face when she is dancing like a chimp next to me in the car....
I may use that line the next time mine does the same.

Yep, an '08. What a strange thing to change!
