hi there all, after fitting a new 200mm twin plate xtreme competition clutch and flywheel just weeks ago, its just far too aggressive and I'm just not enjoying the drive anymore, especially living and working around london and it being my daily as well...i get frustrated everytime i jump in the seat lol.

so..iv opted to look around for another clutch to replace this, so how much is it worth? realistically to sell back out. purchased from clark motorsports with receipt and box etc, done 423miles exactly at this point

hi there guys and girls so if anyone has a brand new clutch and flywheel for sale or know who has? please shoot me over a pm, can be oem or aftermarket...not really too fussed.

could even sort a deal on part ex with my new xtreme clutch and fly thats in my build thread.

yeh I'm running standard brembos on the car, not entirely sure yet tbh, haven't really had time to search around but they seem to around 60ukp or so for the HEL lines.

update: so after driving the car for 420miles (even though its not beaded in yet) i honestly can't see or feel as tho its going to be easier to drive, especially as i live and work in central london, I'm seriously considering and looking around for a less aggressive clutch thats easier to use as a daily.

if theres any members on here that have the same clutch and flywheel from xtreme performance clutch, please share your experience and how it feels once beaded in

for now its staying the way it is over the christmas period, apart from the front brakes need changing soon

so i may do front brakes and do the brake lines in the coming few weeks and front tyres also.

on a side note, for all that are considering this clutch...it is very aggressive, still beading in so i hope it does get a tad easier to drive

hi there all, been on the forum for a good while already, just never had anything interesting to post till now!

so after selling my first grey 350z because i was keen for a black one, after about half a year of searching literally everyday, 1 popped up!

here she is when i first got her:

originally i had planned to strip it and turn it into a drift car/track car and to take it to the ring. Everyone around me was against this idea so i was at 2 minds about it, so for the time being i just did basic services, fluid changes, belts and just maintaining it.

after a while i got bored with the way it was so i added a set of these in May 2015, HSD Dualtechs from Driftworks:

loved the difference these made looks wise but most of all the handling, felt like a completely different car.

this got me itching to change more bits but also trying to keep it as oem as possible :lol: ....if that makes sense.

so i then got this carbon bonnet with are catches lol...spontaneously

whilst driving on the motorway i could see that it was flexing at high speeds so i took it off and back on with the original bonnet.

after noticing the clutch bite and feel being rough suddenly 1 day, slowly it started to bug me so i then decided to go all out with a flywheel and clutch, clark motorsport had a deal i couldn't say no to.

so i took it into the workshop at work and asked the boys to take a look at it before the go ahead to take the gearbox out.

the original Y-pipe and cats were pretty corroded and said when taking them off, they are most likely going to snap so he advised to get a new y pipe and cats (the mid pipe and backbox were already aftermarket by Toyosports, on the car already when i got it) :yuck: ...so after hunting around it was down to 2 choices, invidia gemini or the agency power....

after a few sleepless night lol i decided to go for this (2weeks ago) from tarmacsportz

so this is whats happened on the weekend that just passed, by 1 of the top techs in the workshop who i trusted with the work:

he mentioned there was plenty of meat on the original clutch, just that it had burn marks lol (heavy foot)

inside the gearbox was literally black and filthy, he spent hours cleaning it which sort of irritated me because i quickly wanted the car back on the road, but after walking up to his bay i realised why he took so long....

the job of fitting the clutch and fly and exhaust took him 5 days from friday -tuesday, and i understand why he's a senior tech lol, iv never used or seen any tech go through every nut and bolt like he does,, he is a perfectionist...no other word for it and it sure was worth the wait.

literally just drove the car out of the workshop today after work, so its all still settling in and adjusting itself.

time to look at other parts whilst the clutch is beading in

very nice wheels, though i need to purchase a new clutch kit first. if these are still about (fingers crossed) ill be in touch

nice photos, where was this event? some awesome cars but the BeeR324 is by far in my opinion

so i just fitted the hsd dualtechs to my 350z last week or so, went to get them aligned and have been told the bolts are seized up on the inner side of the arm that holds the spring! they tried heating it up etc nothing worked, said it would most likely snap if they used more force so better to get new bolts and the whole arm ready for when it comes off ><'' not what i need right now.

but i don't see how i would require the complete arm? help needed asap as i need to get the car aligned properly, any ideas where to go from here?

well thats sorted then, ill be contacting you soon once my car is off the ramp, getting coilovers and brakes freshened up at the moment cheers guys

Think I'll buy 1 sensor to try out, swap the sensors over and see which particular sensor it is. I only have this to work from

Engine fault code diagnosed on a 350z gt4 2005.

Getting really frustrated with this car now

As above fault code read on a "snap on modis ultra"

code "P1078 - exhaust valve timing valve circuit - bank 1"

Does anyone know which specific part and area in the engine bay it's located? A picture diagram etc etc would be really helpful. And nissan aren't really helpful as I gave them the fault code and description and they looked absolutely clueless... Weren't willing to help unless booked in for their own diagnostics

Modifications are very strict over there, however a lot of people still highly modify there cars, generally they only bring them out at night or take them to China on the race tracks there's a few car garages just down the road where I live in hk and all the cars Iv seen and heard... Far from standard

thanks guys, got a friend to have a look at it for me, fault code that came up is P1078 Exhaust Valve Timing Control Position Sensor (Bank 1), he's reset it for me and said it is most likely down to the weather or the current conditions or even just giving the car a good thrashing could be the cause, said to see how it goes for now....?

Forgot to mention the car is totally oem standard apart from a toyosports exhaust catback that was already on the car when I purchased.

Thanks for the response people, however doing the 'peddle dance' won't that just cover up a problem rather than fix it? 0_0 guess I'm going to have to find a new mechanic to have a look at it
