  1. Yep finally got round to taking the cluster apart yesterday and sure enough there were a couple of bits of tape bunged down the recess for the mil led. The car is standard with no stored fault codes so no idea why the precious owner would have done it. All working fine now, but next thing to struggle with will be the pedal dance adaptions reset procedure. Thanks for replies chaps
  2. Hi All, As you'll notice from my lowly post cost that I'm more of a lurker as most things that could be asked and answered on here have been. Great resource folks! But this one I can't get a complete answer from searching. Have an 04 Zed which seems to be suffering from an erratic and random idle - sometimes stuck high (1500rpm) or barely keeping above 500rpm. Attempted to do the ECU reset and throttle/MAF learn routines but noticed that MIL wasn't coming on at ignition on. Im sure it was fine when I bought the car as MIL is one of the things I would have checked. All the other warning lights are there. Could it be that the LED for the check engine light has failed? Has anyone tried to replace and solder with a standard soldering iron? Stuck the laptop on it and there are no fault codes logged so unlikely that previous owner would have taped over it to mask a fault. Any experience or advice appreciated.
  3. I got Nokians at the weekend too. They have a pressure marking on the side wall which changes depending on tyre width. 36psi for 245 and 33psi for 225s on the front. I'm sure it won't make much odds having a bit more, might be useful to let a bit out if the snow comes though.
  4. I can verify that a google nexus 4 definitely doesn't work. That's after comparing back-to-back with iPhone 4S and Galaxy S2 which both worked fine. Heard there's issues with s4 as well. Seems to timeout after 5secs.
  5. It would appear that I'm experiencing similar issues on an 04 plate thats done 55k. I had a good poke round underneath but couldn't see anything obvious. Next step will be to disconnect the drop links and go for a drive. It seems to knock more when the car is going over offset bumps and dips (body rocking side-to-side slightly), which was making me think it was drop links more than anything else. Does any have any tips for checking banana arm bush or ball joint aside from trying to lever around it? There is no visible wear on the bush, and the arm is in the centre of the bush when the car is jacked up. When the bush fails is the arm likely to foul the body at certain points of its travel? There are no marks on it. Ball joint cover looks ok, but it will be difficult to detect any play. Also - has anyone got the car through MOT with this sort of knocking? Have mine in one month and wondering if I need to pull my finger out to get it fixed before then. Thanks
  6. I'm having the same issue with a Nexus 4. Even tried ' Bluetooth Auto Connect' App to re-attempt the connection when it times out but this doesn't help. Still drops out after 5ish seconds and light on adapter goes from red back to amber. Looks like its trying to establish a connection for BT audio or address book and Nissan adapter is blocking it as protocol is wrong. Googling seems to reveal lots of issues with nexus 4, jellybean and bluetooth. If S4 is also affected then its maybe a Jellybean issue. Really annoying, don't want to have to change the head unit or stick a Parrot in there just to make and receive calls. My work iPhone pairs no problem.
