I would like to know if these engines have a crankcase breather filter ? If they do , when do you change them
Zmanalex will probably know

Do I get a consolation prize.

I've had my guess.

I really need to work out how to work the quotes and replys properly

I was thinking duel mass flywheel.
That's fighting talk, that is!
I'm hoping the balance fixes it but I wouldn't hold my breath to find out

They will all be like that. All cars are to some extent, because if they just applied thin paint everyone would moan about the stone chips (see any Elise for proof of how bad this can get!).
+1
Trust me, it's a good thing.

Really depends on how far gone it is .shaking on idle means it's absolutely knackered.
-
I'm a mechanic . If the gear stick is all over the place it means the engine and box is shaking about .the duel mass is probably the culprit.

l have used two one foot pieces of ska folding plank in the past just remember to drop it back on to the planks .drive on to 2 bricks then jack the car up

A TUBE thats not on mate tyre fitter should have told you that you need a new tyre or wheel .l would never fit a tube.

Sounds like something to do with the top mount. did you tighten the top nut ?
-
I would twin turbo it and spend what's left on petrol.

From your first post I'd have said brake pads or discs and maybe a buggered calliper. Had you checked the brake fluid level?
As others have said though wheel bearing could be a good shout.same as he said.

No

No harm in trying an oil and filter change nissan filter and quality oil. Don't think it's enough of a fluctuation for it to be the pressure sensor.

There is two ball joints one is a simple press fit into the hub carrier the other is on the end of the banana arm the only way to change it is replace the arm.

oem maf is at the top of the pipe chances are it is underneath at the bottom of the pipe some induction kits allow this to happen.Sorry to hijack this a bit but is it possible to have no MAF sensor? My car came with an induction kit when I bought it and I can't see it.

that's what I was thinking probably the cat's or y pipe heat shield.Hi Zedmanalex, I get this loudish crackling ( with windows open) when accelerating.......not hard acceleration. Only when it's hot though. Any ideas ?
Bradders it's the above mate lol, sounds like nails rattling around in the engine every now and then.
Probably a loose heat shield or similar.
Doubt if it is pinking, but if it is I would not drive it under load.
The best way to describe pinking as some one posted recently, is it sounds like a skeleton having a w#nk inside a tin can.

The seals do wear the crank - believe it or not. Most engines will have a groove in the crank where the oil seal goes. Shouldn't leak though.
+1on that it's very common you can usually feel it with your finger nail .more of a chance he has scored the seat that the seal fits in to.

If you have a electric sander of some sort I would give it good going over with medium then fine grade papers.
