I love almost anything on film apart from the dreaded Rom Com .
So let's talk film every thing and anything.
Shaun of The Dead, that's a Rom Com, what's wrong with that?
Think you'll find it's a Zom Rom Com the Zom makes the difference in this gem.

I like a wide variety of films but one of my all time favourites is Shawshank Redemption.
Also while thinking about this I've figured i must be a bit of a Tom hanks fan, the green mile and road to perdition to name a couple.
SR is always in the top ten of film to see and with good reason it's strange but I find it's Morgan Freemans narrative tgat really makes this sparkle.

Bladerunner is one of the worst films I've ever seen. Yes, it's arty and well shot, but the plot, acting and especially the pacing is dreadful. It took me 5 attempts to get through the SUper Mega Director's Wankfest Cut or whatever one it was just to see it all.
On the other hand, I rate Independance Day and Jurassic Park as probably my two bestest filsm ever. I could never get bored of watching either.
I also like most rom-coms, especially ones with Katherine Heigl in. And not just 'cos she's pretty.
Yeah I like ID as its the most expensive B movie ever made and a great light hearted bit of fun . Love JP also even though the blu is not up to scratch but a good book filmed by a great director and bought the most out of it ( shame about the other two though )
Shame you didn't get BR but not many do Arty sound like the 80s reviews still took me a while to appreciate 2001 and by the way the blu is awesome on that.
Find me a good Rom Com and I'll find a man beaten down by the wife

Just a thread for films at cinema blu or tv what you liked or didn't like , Any upcoming news on upcoming releases or gossip on films in production . Recent being Sam Mendes is now in talks to doing the next Bond movie ,old news I know but hope he does it.
This doesn't hav to be the next big Blockbuster thread just anything you might have liked that you've never seen before . It also doesn't have to be a critics choice award for a film just your personall reflection on whatever.
I personally believe the best Sci-fi film made is Bladerunner which panned on release but later became an icon of viewers and critics alike and rightly so.
And my favourite film of 2012 was Dredd just because it didn't pull any punches with the likes of getting a lower age rating to get the money in . Though they tried getting the money with 3d showings.
These two are sci I know but I love almost anything on film apart from the dreaded Rom Com .
So let's talk film every thing and anything.

Throttle controller on sp7 REALLY livens up the z , it won't make you any faster but doesn't half liven the car up
I have considered this option and does get great reviews but a question on those who have had both which is the better option ?
-
Thanks fellas I would like to know what engine mods you made prior to the Uprev though ? As said I'm not looking for top end BHP but just a more responsive feel on the throttle and the best way of achieving this .
-
Changes the car completely in my opinion. It's not about the figures just about drive ability.
I am not a traffic light terror by any means but the Z use to be awful off the mark now it's a whole different animal.
I also am getting a 2mpg increase in fuel economy....so it basically pays for itself...
Well that's what I told the Mrs haha
What did you change prior to the Uprev if you don't mind me asking.

Used to be my stomping ground a few years back as a local boy but not been up there for a few years now . Used to mainly go for the car bike races , thundersports and the formular Ford's 1600s which were total carnage.

You need to get yourself a ride in one that's been uprevved already, where are you?
North Kent mate and will be on the stand at Brands in Sept so hopefully will will get a ride out in one then , any takers?
-
As above when I got my Z I was happy with the power and not looking for a monster BHP animal . I do feel that the throttle response can be a bit sluggish when gunning it and it just needs a little push as the power delivery is slow to respond to my heavy right foot. I've searched this forum and others and it does seem that an Uprev is the way to go to cure this from 1st to 3rd anyway but not all agree that for the money spent you get great rewards. So for shelling out on Plenum spacer , berks hfc etc give a bang or a whimper or something in between ? Does the Z need even more before an Uprev lightweight pullys etc . Coming from a t/c background all I'm looking for is a more responsive throttle and is this worth the money .
All help greatly appreciated thanks Ray.

5 ltr pro s ordered or whatever it's branded at now .
-
I can make the Brands show though I wouldn't say my Z is worthy of a stand

Lose one (Fergie), gain another, shame they both wont be around to wind each other up
I see Stoke have been handed the poisoned chalice that is Mark Hughes and he has promised that he will introduce entertaining football too, does he think the Stoke fans are that stupid!!?
I always thought these two had mutual respect for each other.

I know Kent Scoobies used to do meets at the Newnham Court Inn at Beasted near Maidstone a few years back . Not the best grub out there its one of those 2 meals for a tenner places but it does have a large car park and they did allow meets in the past.

OMG I've just noticed your Avatar is very similar to mine this will drive the conspiracy nuts wild
-
I got mine from Tradelink and had no problems with them and was detailed by Max Protect prior to picking up . Had my car a couple of month's now and had no problems with it as yet.
-
If only I could afford one and it would be Z whats that , It is however a car that really does benefit from an aftermarket exhaust system as it is too bloody quiet for a sports car.
-
I was qoated £150 just for a roof wrap so this looks great value.

It's got to be Goonies surely?
Nope Speilberg was down to do ET ETat the time and couldn't do this film " supposedly " so another director was drafted in . But in all essence it's a SS movie.Google is your friend for this one.
-
So what to finish on this Speilberg night Close Encounters or one of the best Speilberg films he didn't direct and I'm not talking of the modern modern JJ Super 8 . Easy one for you film fans .

I enjoyed both of these but would say Django just trumps it .
