  1. Pretty sure the intake box is a lot bigger in the DE type.
  2. I have an air intake set from a HR, but if you have the earlier type car, then may be of no use
  3. Seems I can ship them as 2 parcels through Parcel force at £14 each. so I can ship within UK for £28. No idea how this may work, but Parcel Monkey quote City Link as Courier next day £14 15kg weigh, 60*60*50cm as a rough guide for quote. I would tape up then wrap in bin bag then tape again with labels on. May be a bit of a delay as I work it out but wouldn't have thought more than a couple of days.
  4. Ah balls, Never noticed. I am in Aberdeenshire, postage is possible but could be major expensivo.
  5. Hi folks, I'm clearing out my garage of some stuff and I have my winter tread tyres from the 350. These are Vredstein winter treads, have a lot of life left in them an have been kept in a dry garage, just taken out to photograph. Sizes are Front: 225/45/ R 18, Rear: 245/45/ R 18 £100 for the set, Local Pick-up preferred as posting 4 tyres with parcelforce could be entertaining, however if buyer is happy to pay postage I can work something out. I am based in Aberdeenshire near Inverurie. Any questions jut ask Rick Edit: to add location Pics:
  6. Hi folks, I'm clearing out my loft and I found I still have my OEM air filter units. These are in fantastic condition and come with HKS green foam panel filters. I'm looking for £100 posted. Let me know if interested. Rick
  7. Cheers I will have a look into it with the man
  8. Hi folks, Well I was out in Inverness with the good lady 2 weeks ago and during an exceptionally wet day driving along the road into town the CEL light came on, the car seemed fine, made no noticeable hesitations etc. So I did the dance of a thousand pedals and got P0430 as a code. A bit of googling over a costa found that this was an issue with the catalytic convertor. Once I had got the code the light had gone out, but came back the other day, it threw up the same code, again I can notice no difference in running of the car, fuel efficiency etc (car always run on super 98\99). I have a Borla exhaust and hi flow cats on the car, and I kow aftermarket exhausts can cause this issue but I wondered if it was a screw in sensor or some such that could be on the way out, or is this simply something that occurs due to aftermarket cts? though I have run the car for about 2 months before this started. Any info or advice would be great, as I am about to do an oil change and knowing if there are any areas I should be looking at under the car would be grand. Cheers all. (apologies for wall of text, but return function isn't working in text box???)
  9. a new clutch (plate, pressure plate and bearing) and the slave cylinder. An exedy clutch is about £280 and a slave Cyl I would assume to be anything from about £60 to £100. so say £400 for parts and about £200-300 for labour.
  10. I must have misheard him then as his rate is about £47 an hour and its about £200-£250 I had in my head labour wise and he didn't disagree, so with parts £600-£700 would be about right. He is getting me a quote today.
  11. Well took it to my local indie, and he had a good look all over the pedal incase master cylinder seeping, bone dry, nothing under the car, and fluid is only dropping very slightly so it must be a tiny leak but could go at any time. He has given me an honest quote of about 6-8 hours labour, but he has said changing the clutch would be a good idea simply given the time it takes to get the gerbox\housing off, change the cylinder and at 50k miles its done and I wont have to worry about the clutch. He said he will do me a decent rate to knock some cash off as they do a lot of work for the family with the various cars\projects. So gonna be about £700 lighter this month, but at least she will be fixed . P2 service coming soon, but half of its been done, clutch fluid, filters are aftermarket and the rest is just a grease of the steering joints\boots, oil n filter change and a brake fluid change, thinking I will do this myself and keep all receipts as proof of change, noting in service book clutch change and self service.
  12. Kept an eye on it and must have a leak as its dropped again, having a look at master cylinder can't see anything, where does the fluid line meet the clutch housing can it be seen without going under the car? I'm going to take it to local indie and get them to fix it as its not something I'd be happy doing on an engine this size I.e physical size and worried I do it wrong or find I have to split the housing etc. Hopefully not a massivly expensive fix.
  13. I will have a look, it may have been low since I got it, but only just now had a look into all the nooks n crannies. However clutch pedal feels correct no softness, no slipping or odd noises during use so hopefully its just an odd reason why its a bit low. Will get garage to have a look at it while he does the service.
  14. I was thinking that, its just because it was a good bit below the minimum line I was worried may have caused an issue. Is it just usual Dot 4 fluid for the clutch?
