  1. With the rear transit tie down bolt, if it's just for getting it up the drive. if careful it should be OK.

The AA flat bed will have a leccy winch on it.

Is your steering lock on or off? Mine was off which made it easier to load and move around to load and unload.

The trucks do have electric winches and they shouldn't use the towing eye to load on to the bed

Can the truck reverse up the drive to unload?

I thought that was the purpose of the towing eye, why do you say they shouldnt use it?

From what I have been told that they are often (generally not Nissan specific) not strong enough for the job and can pull out etc They will more than likely use the suspension strut sometimes using the towing eye as back-up.

  4. My 2009 out of warranty 370z is currently at dealers with suspected steering lock fault. Did my homework as dealer was suggesting £1300 approx to fix which scared me!

In America Nissan started a recall for this fault last week which includes parts and labour. I spoke to Nissan UK who logged a case and got back to me same day which was impressive. They will cover the part and will get back to me on labour when vehicle is diagnosed.

Hopefully some light at the end of the tunnel

Also suffering from a drivers door that doesn't open from the outside which I think is unrelated but very annoying

  5. Hi from a 2009 370z owner

Currently suffering from the steering lock issue but some good news as Nissan america have started a recall for this fault. I've logged a case with Nissan uk and so far they have agreed to cover the cost of the part but awaiting call back on labour - will let you know outcome in relevant forum.
