  1. From 6pm tonight until midnight Sunday we are offering 10% off all the HKS products we have listed on or web shop Some pretty cool new parts available including the new 2 camera DMR recoding system and the OBD Bluetooth phone interface which can show live information, read codes and datalog. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for the discount code later today http://tdi-north.myshopify.com/collections/hks
  2. Will be adding a load of 350/370 parts up over next few weeks but important thing for u was to get the formatting right and commitment from some top suppliers sorted.
  3. Our Web Shop has just gone live! Its been weeks in the building to make it look the way we wanted it, We have full support from our suppliers and have access to some top quality items from all over the world. We will be adding more items and more suppliers as we go but what we have is a taster of the products and services we can offer. The great thing for importing parts from Japan as well is the price you see is the price you pay. No hidden import or shipping costs. At the moment we are only geared up to offer online sales and delivery to UK and Irish customers due to website restrictions but we can obviously deliver overseas but will have to get individual shipping costs for the items as we go. Please feel free to brows around and we will happily listen to any suggestions or comments about how we can make improvements or things to add. As a special offer we are also offering a 10% discount on any products listed to the first 10 people making a purchase when the code FIRST10 is used at the checkout. Have a good weekend. 4. Just give us a call on 01925289100 and can get you booked in.
  5. There isn't a database as such held anywhere. The tuners should know if cars have been done previously but I don't use registrations as people often change them so use the owners name as ref then also the reg number. We can easily check though when we plug the laptop in as it will show if it already has a licence. Power output its hard to say as you see cars with identical mods, same age varying upto 20bhp. Its how they have been driven and looked after and it makes a tremendous difference.
  6. For the Abbey enquiries best call Scott or Mark direct. I'm seeing Mark tomorrow so can discuss it with him then anyway
  7. I'm taking bookings and payments now so if people want to call me on 01925 289100 or email at info@tdi-north.com I can get people in. I am amending the first post as we go. Guess Mark will do similar.
  8. No problem with cats, decats or high flow cats, we just map the car to them accordingly. Obviously better the less restrictions there are but then you will fall foul come MOT time unless you swap them back or know a "friendly" MOT tester who is willing to swap them on the day
  9. Yeah we do Saturdays. They get booked up quickly though but calming down now race seasons finished. Can people identify where they want to get the car done (TDi North or Abbey) so we know numbers
  10. No not at all. Prefer not to have a dozen cars all rock up for a tune. I get stressed enough on dyno days as it is! Hahahaha When you call up to make payment we can just sort a date that suits.
  11. I was speaking to Mark and was going to run the offer until 31st December but if you have paid up-front for the licence/mapping before that date I can't see as though it will matter if you come in after that date. Want to be as flexible as possible but I do need the numbers committed and paid up to enable the licences to be purchased in bulk to get the discount we can then pass on.
  12. Thanks for that. So how much improvement in horsepower could I expect to see - at the wheels - from a Milltek catback? Edit - with uprev, I mean. Hello. Hard to say. Bigger diameter and smoother with the Y pipes or true twin is always going to be better. I haven't had the chance to have one car on the dyno and do a full set of back to back tests unlike what Mark at Abbey has managed plus you can even see 2 cars, same year, same motor same mods making 15bhp difference so again hard to say. Its a case of better breathing is always going to see bigger improvements in overall performance and throttle response. Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
  13. The Milltek is the best performing system but there isn't much in it. It ends up being more down to more personal preference and looks.
  14. Pre. If you want to really know and get an un-biased opinion just ask one of the many that have already had the remap done. It really does transform the way the car responds in both throttle response, midrange and sometimes even improved mpg
  15. Until end of this year I can offer together with Mark at Abbey a special deal on a group buy in effect of a minimum of 5 cars at both TDi North and Abbey of £375 incl VAT of an Uprev licence and full remap for 350 and 370Z's. We will need commitment and payment up front for the offer to happen. Please put your name down if your interested and and we can work something out. We will need commitment and payment up front for the offer to happen. I will keep this updated so we know where we are as people pay and book in. Busa1300 - Paid and booked in. Dragon - Paid and booked in Fluke - Paid and booked in Gordy - Paid and booked in . . . . .
  16. Yes. Because there has recently been some confusion as to how much they actually are and its to reduce the amount of phone calls we had yesterday questioning it.
  17. Sorry not replied earlier. Have been mad busy with work what with race duties and all but back full time now. There isn't a lot more you would want to be doing and its just a combination of what intake or exhaust system will suit your personal choice. The manifolds already really good and would be the choice to fit on the 350 but replacing the manifolds isn't a particularly quick and cheap job. The different maps are just slight changes in throttle response but basically exactly the same fuel/ignition and cam timing. We can customise each map but there would be costs involved. Typically we may stick a valet map on one that only allows tehcar to rev to 2000rpm or maybe not even start, a map for lower octain fuel if you cant get 97 or above, a race map for race fuel with different ignition settings (you wouldn't use this on regular pump fuel as it will cause damage and is purely for those wishing to drag their cars) and maybe something with a different launch control setup. Affecting the over-run we haven't really got access to but am sure with some "manipulating" of the over-run fuelling we could probably get a lot more bangs and pops.... but it wont do your cats any good.
  18. Just to clarify that we do the UPREV remaps which include full dyno tune for £402-00 inc vat Just need about a weeks notice and information on what model car you have, motor type and mod combination before coming in
  19. cozzi - Yes it would be a bit better to run decats, but you have to consider MOT's Jollyranchers - Uprev dyno tune is £402 including licence. If you already have the licence and we are making changes as you have maybe changed a part and I/mark already has the map its just dyno time which is £80+vat per hour
  20. Done a couple of 370z Uprev's now and think we may have a solution for the bonnet pop up warning that doesn't need ninja reactions to pressing multiple buttons when the light flashes!
  21. Staged upgrades for the 350 and 370Z In association with Abbey Motorsport we are able to offer the same great deals on parts and packages for the 350 and 370Z’s. When tuning is carried out the licence cost is also included. 350Z DE 276bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit plenum spacer/velocity stack/HKS panel filter and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £723.35 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1571.93 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Stage 3 Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats Cost with Berks HFC is £2049.93 inc vat Cost with Berks De-cats is £1871.93 inc vat Running HFC or decats your be looking at nearly 300bhp flywheel bhp a gain over 20bhp from the stock car and a good gain mid range torque over stage 1 and 2. Using the Milltek system the exhaust noise is nice and not to aggressive but your get a small rasp around 4000RPM Further tuning can be done but quote as per customers requirements. 350Z REV UP engines 300bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit plenum spacer/HKS panel filter and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £652.85 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1501.43 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Stage 3 Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats Cost with Berks HFC is £1979.43 inc vat Cost with Berks De-cats is £1801.43 inc vat Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps. These cars never seem to give the 300bhp quoted by Nissan though but after the upgrades they do pick torque up in the mid range. We offer more work to the REV up to gain torque we fit a Motordyne lower collector this can be quoted separately. 350Z HR engines 313bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit HKS panel filters and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £407.54 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1256.12 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Further work can be carried out but we prefer to discuss this with the customer. Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps. 370Z VHR 323bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit HKS panel filters and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £407.54 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1486.29 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Stage 3 Same main mods as stage1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats Cost with Berks HFC is £1999.29 inc vat Cost with Berks De-cats is £1821.29 inc vat These car with the stage 3 conversion see nearly 310hub bhp up from around 290 hub bhp for a stock car with a big gain in mid-range torque , gain some fuel economy as well. Further work can be carried out but we prefer to discuss this with the customer. Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps. All bhp gain are estimate as all cars are different . cars be re-flashed back to stock if needed. We also carry out FI conversions all models, please email or ring for quotes. 22. Just released from Eibach is an update on the full available kit with part numbers and RRP’s for the the Nissan 350Z after I requested information a couple of weeks ago. The Pro Kit, part number E10-63-013-01-22, which retails at £202.50 +VAT and lowers the vehicle by 30mm front and rear. The anti-roll bar kit comes in at £330 +VAT. The front bar Ø is 34mm and with 2 way adjustment; and the rear is 22mm Ø with 3 way adjustment. Both of these bars are made from tubular steel to keep the weight down. For the Pro Alignment parts the front control arms (part number 5.72125K) are priced at £410.22 +VAT and offer a range of adjustment from +3.50° to -1.50° of camber adjustment, along with ± 1.00° of castor. They are supplied with all the fitment parts required including hub and brake shims. On the rear we have the lower arms, part number 5.72050K, which will give ±3.00° of camber adjustment and are priced at £150.76 +VAT. All of these parts are designed to the highest specification to reduce un-sprung mass along with maximum adjustability so the end user can set the car to their precise requirements. For more information on our pricing, fitting costs and availability give us a shout at info@tdi-north.com We are Eibach super dealers so can get anything normally next day if it’s in stock
  23. Now that thing is bloody dangerours! We had it back in for a while to do a few changes like valvesprings, filter relocation, oil cooler kit then he's been out the country a fair bit. I'm starting to think he is using us just for dry storage over winter! Plan was to do Marham then get it back in to fit a forged motor and do the fuel system so we can up the power (Over 600 which its pegged at now) but bit unsure whats going to happen now thats been canned. I've seen some pictures and video's been posted up of the car, good progress so far. Has the forged motor been completed and is now ready to fit? Or are you guys still trying to find the limit of the stock block? (is what George told me! ) The block is 100% stock. All thats different is a set of uprated valvesprings.... Oh and a mahoosive turbo strapped to it! It's got a Walbro in-tank and some 1000cc ID's with uprated fuel pressure and we have maxed thout out so only way to up power is a full fuel system and forged block. They are running similar power in the US on stock blocks but its with stuff like Q16 and big fuel system and less boost. Nobody is running what we are still on regular pump gas. We have another block here we are starting to order parts for and build will be mid year I would think. To be fair it really doesn't need more power but you know George. I understand he's already been showing a few built exotica a clean pair of heels!
