  1. Part exchanged the old girl a few days back for my first German automobile......

    Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??

Honestly - despite it not being everyone's cup of tea in the looks department - it's a lovely car to drive, especially now I've got rid of the runflats :-)

  2. Sad to see her go, but yes we do all makes. We have BMW diagnostic equipment as well as VAGCOM for VW and Audi etc.

Lovely - thanks Ross - hope you guys are all well. I'll definitely be in contact when the time comes for servicing/repairs

  3. To be honest the fuel never really bothered me - the BMW isn't much better (depending on how it's driven of course)! Yeah whoever gets the Z will hopefully look after it - I'll be keeping an eye out on here if a potential owner comes looking for any information :-)

  4. Yes - it's not the nicest thing to hold. It's far too chunky - not sure what they were thinking with that - or the 'different' looks...;-) - but as you say the engine is a beauty and pulls very hard through the gears.

  5. Haha! No it's cool - everyone's different. To be fair it looks better in the flesh - but you're right - it's absolutely no looker like the Z is! However, it is stuffed full of toys and gadgets - which is something I like, handles well and is very rapid so it ticks a lot of boxes for me. Stupidly fat steering wheel on it though...

  6. Haha! No not quite - at first she was going 'I prefer the other one' but she's warmed to it now. But then she's very unimpressed with cars anyway so it was always going to be a tough sell! I just wanted something a bit more premium really and I've always liked the look of these ones. I'll miss the Z though and hopefully it'll end up with someone who looks after it. Actually I need to find out if Japex service other cars beyond the Japanese ones - after going there a few times I don't really want to go anywhere else.

  7. Well, the dealer I left it with are called Prestige Direct based in Hertfordshire and have put it up for sale on their website, so if anyone is thinking of buying her I'll be more than happy to fill them in on any info they might need. She's been, and still is, a great car but I just wanted something a bit more refined and stealthy. One thing I have noticed straight away between the 2 - the Z has a far superior steering feel to it in terms of feedback.

130i LE Msport - it's a very different drive to the Z in just about every sense of the word.

  9. I was once behind a women in a Toyota Hilux who hadn't strapped some sofas down in the back. lo and behold behind her doing 60 and off the 2 seater came!! Bounced over my car!!!!! I made this face :scare: then a poof :scare: I swerved to avoid it and thankfully missed it. She did pull over and so did I, to tell her what a massive penis she was.

For some reason I imagined that in the style of a Michael Bay slow-motion revolving shot.

I don't suppose everything was exploding around you as well was it?

  10. I was there a few weeks back on a huge road trip - saw loads of Zeds all over the place. We were in SanFran for a few days - where did you stay? We were in Hotel Nikko. Did you have anything nice to drive? I had this little beauty:

Very different to a Zed but I loved it and loved the roads over there as well.

Have a read of that - it was my experience with my DMF and clutch when they were playing up.

Yep, I think that's what it is, so so pee'd off. Just spent so much on it thinking it was all great and everything, now got a huge bill coming my way! How much was your replacement?

Not sure what the clunking from the back is!

My total bill was £1200 but I also had a service and plugs done along with the other odd little bit of work. It was a lot less than I was expecting especially when you compare that to Nissans prices. I'd imagine that would have been 3k plus!

  12. Nice video. You should have done a bit of talking on it - how long you've had the car, what you like about it, mods etc I think it would have added a bit more to it. Still - better job than I could have achieved so well done.

Oh yes - big old spoiler on the back there!

  13. Insurance all the way. It's what you pay them for and any increase on your premium will be minimal compared to what you might actually end up giving this fool if he starts demanding more and more - he sounds like a complete knob so who knows where it will stop! Chances are he's not insured by the way he's behaving and is just trying his luck. I'd call his bluff, tell him to deal with your insurers and that you've told them of all the false claims he's making. Also how do you know your premium will go up £500? Have Flux told you that?

  14. Just out of interest - now that you have a letter from them saying he did it, and they've paid for the damages, could you now go to the police and get him done anyway? Not that I'm saying you should of course as by the sounds of it they'll be good as gold from now on, but still.......I'd be tempted. Teach him a lesson. Again.

  15. Superb result.

Go round there, show them the extra cash and quietly say: 'Now this.....this is Sparta'

Up to you if you then kick him into the abyss, but it would make for an interesting read in the local paper if nothing else.
