That looks like great fun!
-
Damn. If only you lived closer to Portsmouth
-
Small world indeed, my friend!
I'll bring her along to the next one. That way she'll be able to talk shop with Kat and embrace the next £2k Z mod I do
..."But Kat loves it when Simon mod's the Z..."
Excellent.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Chris, the 3rd pic was done using a 'fat gecko' mount on the bonnet, 15 second exposure as I rolled the car forward, friend off to the right holding a couple of lights...pop of the flash against the steering wheel about 12 seconds in.
Done.
I feel your pain Humpy. I ended up getting rid of my first cam due to the shoddy remote business.

Ahhh, s.o.s. morse code...it's important. Glad you've been inspired my friend.
...and Simon, I hear the 6 degrees of seperation are in full force with our other halves!

Thank you sir!...I didn't know the calendar was taking submissions...

It always seems to happen on a Wednesday. Trying something a bit different this evening...

Clearly not getting away with a 'minor'...

It just seems...so...delicate.
-
Only the black, or different variants too?

My renewal is up next monday.
All the comparison sites, it seems, allow me to put in that my Z is an import. When calling them up and remind them it's an import, they don't want to insure me! The quotes i'm getting appear to be more than my Range Rover Sport 4.2 Supercharged!
34 years old. 10 years NCB. Portsmouth.
Am I really that much of a liability?
-
I too came across this on the skyline forums...It is a lot of dough...
-
Woah there! Had a great quote from More than. £370 odd, down from Admirals £465...called them up due to my reg not coming up online. Turns out they don't insure imports but put me onto their broker that does...best quote I got? Wait for it...£1701.
£1701!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't contain myself and burst out laughing!

...with whom are you insured for that price?
-
First refusal please my friend, if they're still available?

Hey guys. We'll do it again soon hopefully. I didn't get a chance to shoot everyone's car. Next time i'll make sure eveyone gets a shot.
Good to meet you all though. Always good for a chin wag!
Any further pointers, don't hesitate to get in touch, i'm always around.

Simon+Kat, trying to PM you but you're not accepting messages...
...send me one

Well guys, it was great meeting you all this evening. Hopefully those with cameras learnt at least a little bit. Here's a selection of the best bits from this evening:

...if not, 30 second shutter will suffice...just have to be quick.

DSLR. Tripod. Cable release or remote. Torch....all you need.
Don't forget the patience, donuts, warm clothing and jokes!

I went scoping some locations this evening. First stop may have to be Portchester castle. See how we get on...There's a car park half way up Portsdown hill, and another up the top (by doggers paradise). There's a nice car park - as in not very lit - right on the sea front too. Failing all those locations, we can go to old trust worthy: Warblington Church near Emsworth.
Dark clothing is fine although the subjects will of course be the ZEDs!

The Tesco garage right next to KK has Momentum in it's pumps...

I'm in for definite. Will aim to be at KK for 7:30 sharp.
Rain is always a problem when taking pictures. We'll just have to get creative. I'm going to scout a couple of locations down at the seafront tonight but fear they're all open air.
Anyway...in.

In my experience, London wide boys. Give them a wide birth when talking to them...
