  1. Okay...Reaaaaally sorry for this question, but...How do you make the Wing Mirrors fold in? lol...

There's either a trick, or they do it automatically, in that case mine are broke.

    Cheers

  2. if it didnt event try to move (as opposed to trying and failing to move) it might be the switch - my car (pretty much identical to yours) requires holding the switch up, then a little bang just below the switches to get a connection, then it will go up fine.

I keep meaning to get it looked at, but when its cold i use the air con rather than open a window - only time its annoying is trying to get into car parks, but that inconvienience isnt with the £180 charged for a new motor!

Yeah sounds similar, it wasn't as if the motor was struggling, it just wasn't trying. All I could hear was the click of the switch, so it could possibly be a loose connection.

  3. Morning,

So...3days after owning the Zed (Still love it!)

Was driving to work, needed to clear the window so pressed the button to let the window down, then back up again. Still wasn't clear, so made the window go down again, however this time after pressing the button, it didn't go back up...

Tried turning the car off and on again, tried opening and closing the door, checked for something in the way, nothing...window would not go up.

So I thought maybe it's cold, lets wait for the car to fully warm up and i'll be lucky...So and behold, I was lucky the window went back up! Did a test and it went up and down perfectly fine again...

Just wondering if anyone else had en-counted this before?

    53 Plate, 61kMiles.

    Cheers

  4. We'll pleased with my K4, as per the thread above. Feels decent quality, easy to find a lance that fits, cleans all sorts of things you point it at! The PA lance I went for rules too. All in all, great purchase, especially if you've got other lesser cars to clean which don't require a proper TBM and real attention, just a quick blast.

Thats what I've been looking at through your thread, only thing that concerns me, is it too 'plasticky'?

  5. Plain and simple...

Can anyone recommend a good Pressure Washer (That I don't have to take out a mortgage to buy :) )

With my previous car, I took care of her at the start, hand washing it each week, then after a year or so, other cars and people damaging it etc, I ended up going to the local Polish car wash, who do an awesome job.

But now with my new car, I want to take real good care of her.

    So...

    A: Do I get a Pressure Washer

    B: What one?

    Cheers

  6. Afternoon, sorry for the possibly dumb question.

But any good recommendations for aftermarket purchases? After doing a few searches either sites don't have much stock, or its an american site.

Firstly I'm after the Nismo Gear Knob. There's one or two on ebay for buy it now, but just wanted to browse an official site to see what was on offer etc.

    Cheers

  7. Lucky you! I'm 22 also, jumped up from a MK4 Golf GTI 1.8 Turbo, And I thought £900 for the year was good with Admiral lol. Although I am way down south...

There is so many rating factors that can knock it up and down. Postcode is one of the biggest so you will know whats good around your area  tbh I was expecting to pay 1200+ and was willing to pay that for the car. So anything below that is a bonus :)

Yeah, same boat here, I was expecting a lot more, so anything 1200 below was a nice bonus :) Think it helps paying high insurance in the 1st few years to get a car like this later on. Think I've paid £2k very 1st year for a 106 1.4, 2nd Year was £1200, 3rd Year was my Golf on £2000, 4th £700, Now this (5th year in Janurary) £900

Anyway, picked it up in Farnborough today,

Sunset Orange, wasn't sure of the color at 1st, but when I saw it, I loved it!

  9. From a superficial reading of the adverts my preference would be for the Azure one in Goudhurst.

Aye, after looking the gumtree one looks a bit odd, spammed gumtree with loads of different locations.

The miles on the azure did put me off at 1st, but after thinking, it's still less than 8k miles a year. If not lower.

  10. My car is officially dead now :( Turbo blew up on the way back from windsor yesterday. So I now need a car by this weekend.

So after looking I've found these so far (Still have this week for more to pop up)

    Wondering what you all think...
