  1. Hi everyone,

Im new to this and was wondering the best site for uprated 350z parts ie clutch/flywheel? as i was drifting about early and the clutch was stinking and the esp and traction control light stayed on intill i turned the engine of let her rest turned on and the lights where off again.

Any ideas of what this could be?

the esp light will come on and stay on when drifting, after drifting sometimes you can't turn esp back on for normal driving without turning off the engine and then back on, after you have turned esp back on and if the light is still on, just drive it normally for a bit and it will go back to normal. been there - done that - many many times in both my last 350zs.

also i just want to check, when you say the clutch was sticking, do you mean the pedal drops to the floor and doesn't come back up? because if it's that, it's due to the @*!# clutch hoes in 350Zs, they balloon up when drifting, replace the clutch line with a braided hose, works perfect.

  2. has anyone fitted a Mishimoto Nissan 350Z aluminium fan shroud kit?

my engine fans died so i bought this

    http://www.mishimoto.co.uk/mishimoto-nissan-350z-aluminum-fan-shroud-03.html

problem is, each fan has only two wires, the oem fans have 4 wires, has anyone installed one of these?

if so, how did you wire it.

    thanks,

ps i did find the folling info over on http://my350z.com but just wanted to check.

    Fan 1 Drivers Side

    (1) Blue out – (2) Green In (350z harness)

    (1) Black Out – (2) Black In (350z harness)

    Fan 2 Passenger’s Side

    (1)Blue Out – (2) Blue In (350z harness)

    (1)Black Out – (2) Yellow In (350z harness)

    also this

    1. Cut the ends of both wire leads long and short that connect directly to the stock fans.

    2. Strip off the black heat jacket.

    3. Take Blue wires from each harness and solder them to the Blue wire on fan 2.

    4. Take Yellow wires from each harness and solder them to the Black wire on fan 2.

    5. Take Green wires from each harness and solder them to the Blue wire on fan 1.

    6. Take Black wires from each harness and solder them to the Black wire on fan 1.

    7. Heat shrink all connections and then slide some sort of loom over them for protection.

    8. Connect everything up and that should be that?

  3. ZMANALAX, thanks,

i just need to know if it will fit, as in a straight swap onto my Z,

it doesn't matter if it's a VLSD, i think it's not because there are no cooling fins on the pumpkin,

It's been offered to me but i'll only take it if it is just a simple matter of swapping it with the old diff.

It is a complete diff, with the stub axles.

  4. we held a cruise / meet in Newry on the 08/12/2012,

    to show of our cars,

collected donations for PIPS “ Public Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide & Self-harmâ€,

also the Newry Police, Newry Fire and rescue Service and the Guys and Girls from Drive Change did a mock up collision and demonstrate cutting persons out of the Car.

after the event we headed off to our other location,

    Here's the video from it,

  5. i'm just wondering what everyone else does about this, if you have the same problem

mine is pretty bad with rust and i mean really bad, bits are just falling of it,

is there an upgraded part or is it a sandblast and clean up job?

it's this part in the diagram 74870X, near top of the picture.

    also refered to as

    [74870X] STAY ASSY-TUNNEL

looks like a W shape bar

underneath the car, at the back.

  6. Can anyone tell me

Is there meant to be a "c ring" i think it's called, on the driver side "half Shafts"...."stub axles"

    see pic,

on the left of the pic is the driver side, no c ring,

on the right of the pic is the passenger side, you can see there is a C ring on it.

    post-18170-0-81250000-1354103012_thumb.jpg

should there be a c ring on the driver side one?

This has all come about because on Saturday i was driving along and the driver side half shaft popped out of the diff,

i thought the diff had exploded.

the car is now with the mechanic while he checks for damage.

also would anyone know why the Driver side half shaft would have popped out?

    has this happened anyone?

The oil seal on the driver side had been leaking.

  7. lol it is great fun, i promise :D

i had a great laugh at the above pic by rtbiscuit :D

spike's really good, he used to be on a drift and diff display team but there was some falling out, so he left, he's been at it a long time,

it's all about the control :)

my diff is only a viscous diff, not lsd but i shim it every 4 - 5 months it's striped down and shims put it to tighten it up, but they wear down, that vid was about 4 moths after it was done, so it was running loose.

some of the other guys in the vid sort of let the car take them where it wants to go lmao

i'd say i spend alot on tyres, i try not to count up the cost :D

the video was thrown together over a day, i went for the arty approach lol

  8. thanks guys for the comments :)

    bad news today,

looks like my diff has exploded, just got car recovered from the road and will have to wait on mechanic getting back to me,

i wouldn't have mined so much, as i knew it was on it's way out, but I've just spent loads of money on the car this week already :(
