  1. Hi mate, I still have my carbon battery and fluid covers somewhere.. I stuck them down with silicone/mastic (though granted didnt stick to the oem plastic too well)

Anyway there is still some silicone stuck on the back as got bored of peeling it off and put them back in the garage lol

    £60 posted?

Carbon is all in good condition, can fish out some pics if you are interested :)

  2. I had 5" slash cut (though not thin walled) R35 gtr tips on mine, and I always thought how I wouldn't want to go any smaller. They petruded the bumper a bit too, so didn't make the bumper rounded like above :)

My friend actually has 5" r35 gtr miltek tips he has offered me for free, but I thought they might be a bit overkill

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Then try them :) I defiantly dont think they are, maybe if it wasnt with the chargespeed..

  3. So finally got round to another little mod, of fitting the GTR starter button. I personally love it and think for the ease and difference it makes to the cabin its a worthwhile little mod.

    And all in :)

After that we thought we'd tackle fitting in my bonnet pop up light cancellors. Fit more involved with the removal of engine bay plastics, scuttle panel, wipers and strut brace, and then a few hard to reach plugs so lucky I had Steve and Jak on hand, cheers guys!

Just need to attempt the light reset procedure a few more times to see if thats been enough to get rid of it...

  4. Your 350 looked awesome bud, also made a cracking start on the 370.

Just out of interest where will the fog light fit on the Amuse rear?

Cheers mate, and yes as above same as oem :)

Looks way better than my current Datsun :(

    Enjoy the car Scott!

Cheers Adrian, got to have a good few hour journey in it each way this weekend and loved it!

  5. Beautiful. What colour had your 350 been?

Cheers, and yeah I was wanting to spray the 350 into a pearl white anyway so this has worked out very well :)

I think that looks really good. I'm in two minds about the white door handles but I'm not keen on the standard silver either. I've been thinking of getting mine done gun metal. Enjoy the car.

I have the red seats and door cards that used to be in that very car. :)

I wasn't sure about the colour coded handles at first either, went with it anyway and pleased I did! The usual option, which I was initially going to do of painting them black, I think just makes them stick out too much :)

And that means I must have your Nismo seats from your very car ;)

That last picture does it for me Scott. :in_love:

Very nice and look forward to seeing where you take this one to (modding wise ;) ).

Thanks man! :D Keep an eye out I do have lots planned, just need to replenish my poor wallet a bit first though haha

  6. Looks nice buddy, I bet waiting 3 months was a killer!

I have the same spec wheels as you and do agree visually the rears need spacing 10-20mm but I couldn't bring myself to put spacers so left it. Now I am use to it and glad I didn't choose looks over performance.

Thanks mate, it really was! It wasn't just the wait, it was the completion date kept getting moved back, so every week I'm saying yeah one more week and ill have it, and then another and then another, but so happy to have it now and RT did a great job!

And i've never used spacers myself but a lot seem to vouch for there performance so im going to give it a go :)

    Verry nice

    Is that Adrians old car

    cheers mate, yes it is

  7. So old news to some now but unfortunately the 350 has gone! :(

Still on the forum and sold to my good friend so I still get to see it at least! (though I do miss it when I see it, which is pretty much every weekend) :D

Also had a nice little surprise within a week of selling.. my copy of Banzai magazine came through with a little feature in the readers ride section, I had sent the photos in while before and never heard anything back so was a nice surprise to see as I was flicking through :D

  8. The following weekend the rain held out so took the opportunity to get my Rotas on. Bought myself some Muteki SR48 nuts for the occasion.

And a complete fitted picture to finish off for now

    DSC_0801_zpsdxybbsji.jpg

Very happy with the fitment on the front, though I think the rears could really benefit from some spacers. Just quickly using the eye ruler I'm thinking 20mm but ill get out there soon with a proper ruler and go from there :)

    Thanks for looking :D

  9. And finally collection day arrived! December the 5th Jak and I hopped onto the train aiming to get to RT for 5pm. There are a few bits that still needed sorting still such as the flashing airbag light, find the rear fog and windscreen washer cap. And also the engine bay and interior need a good clean. But I had waited so long and I had it in my head I was getting it that day so I thought ill take it and clean it myself and they can just send me the parts when eventually found.

Was so happy to finally see the car in person and man do I love the paint. I expected to really like it, but I love it. Exactly what I wanted out of the colour.

Was at RT a few hours chatting with Adrian (good finally meeting you mate) and going through everything with the Z. We was also introduced to the GTR.... my god it was something else! That thing is unreal!

Fuel ready for the journey home!

  10. So about time I got a build thread up for this I think. As some of you are probably aware by now, the 350z has gone, I sold it to Steve a few weeks back so at least it's not gone far :)

Last decent pics I got of it before it went:

    DSC_0571_zpsg28teklr.jpg

    DSC_0540_zpsearundye.jpg

Sad to let it go, so then promptly bought it's replacement from Adrian back at the end of august.

It's a 2009 370Z GT Ultimate Edition with the 7AT gearbox. Paddle Shift was defiantly part of my criteria when it came to getting a 370 for me so I am happy to tick that off the list :)

It's a low mileage CAT D with just over 24K on the clock. Originally taken in by RT-performance after the incident a few years ago. A full write up can be found on their website of the damage, and repair work carried out on it.

    94017159-9E46-4B03-BB40-2B7671E3AA04_zps0jxpflj1.jpg#

It comes with a few nice mods already in place, such as the retrimmed steering wheel, R35 GTR gear knob and braided lines with DS200 pads.

    8A8C5B8F-2762-4615-A5DF-E96916257D89.png_zps3ahyfgrq.jpeg

Thankfully a perk of the purchase meant I was able to start my ownership with a full respray. Its going 'Visual Pearl'. A nissan peal white, which is a bit whiter than normal 370z's.

How it looked when I made the purchase

    E79106EF-9ACC-4F16-99BD-D2BD05B9E862.png_zpsugd6bepo.jpeg

Being as it was in the bodyshop I took advantage of this and made my first purchase.

An amuse style bodykit from RT. Haven't got any out of the box pictures but consists of

    -Front bumper

    -Rear bumper

    -Side skirts

Thankfully it's already dewipered, but I requested for the roof and wing mirrors to be painted gloss black and that we keep it debadged.

The wing unfortunately requires a little more work when it comes to sourcing it, with it having to come from either Japan of America. Though I finally have it sorted, they just need to make it so a few months yet :)

Threw into the deal at the time of purchase was a set of new TORQEN S coilovers. So to help keep the car in alignment after I bought some Eibach rear camber arms.

The car was in the bodyshop for just over 3 months, so getting impatient I started loading up the house with some parts :)

Firstly I got my headlight internals painted black, with white bezals.

    E47F739F-3256-4A7F-85D9-6BEACB9A00F2.png_zpsyxovkohv.jpeg

Had to get a picture with them next to my facelift 350Z lights I never got round to fitting..

    B4C53BFA-5721-4FA4-941D-34839E80DCCF.png_zpss9m6a79e.jpeg

Also bought some Recaro Cross Sporster CS seats. Leather with suede centres :D

    D1007673-1AFE-4C77-A3F1-981749B24C9F.png_zpsvuapep4h.jpeg

So I sent off my headlights back off to RT along with some jap sized plates I had made up ready for the new bumpers.

    0835C9DE-A60A-4D76-8790-FE21F5B407CC.png_zpsxn68mxfv.jpeg

Next up was the exhaust. Plan was always to take the GTR systemt that I had on the 350 and get it on the 370. But Steve really wanted it and somehow convinced me it would be better for him to buy me a new one. So we left it on the 350 and he drove me up to Peterborough to pick up the replacement. Once we got it back I set about making a start in preparation for taking it up to Grant @ GCF.

In all its glory with just the midpipe cut and tips removed (getting quite a collection now!)

    looking better

And even had a little go with taking some flames to it to play around with the burnt look. Iv since cleaned it up and I was to clean it up more, but will defiantly be doing this again at the end :D
