I have no idea where the female/girl owner category came from but can only imagine that it came about because you men/boys would throw your toys out of the pram and comment that we female/girls only won because the judge want to give us 1 ( A trophy that is )and won on our female looks and not car looks . So did you men put that category in for that reason ??????

Wizurd, engine cover looks class, just had a look at engine bay and it is looking brilliant, still loving the blue and white. I got the flexing hosing from ebay, I tried it with the large one and hated it, so put the med 1 on, it doesn't go all the way round but you can't see it unless you get down and look under it, was also lucky got blue insulating tape that was the same colour blue so taped the ends up and then fitted the cable ties
-
It was air brushed on by my brother, who said because it has so many layers of paint and lacquer the heat in the engine bay keeps expanding and contracting the paint. He said he's never doing another 1 for me :) so it's back to the drawing board but I do have an idea in mind don't know if it can be done so have to wait and see
-
Thank you Desey, but after being on the engine for nearly a year, the heat has caused a couple of small cracks along the bottom edge so will be looking to change it if it gets any worse
-
So decided today I would do some more little bits to the engine bay, fitted blue lead covers and a new cone air filter. Think I did ok as I have never tried to do any thing to an engine before (I have to use the instructions to fit an electrical plug lol)
and a little sound track of what it was like before and after (hopefully they load)

Looks awesome, IMO you need to drop it on it's hoop though.
I can't I have to many speed ramps to get over in and out of my estate 6 one way and about 15 the other , looking at side skirts and spacers for her, then will see how it sits

Been waiting for ages for you to get this fitted It looks superb and I see the guy is still selling them so might just have to take a punt on one. Did you bodyshop say if there were any fitment issues or tweaks needed to make it fit?
Lovely looking motor.
1 side fitted perfect and the other has a very slight gap and I mean a slight 1and it is only on the inside but he is going to fit a thin rubber strip into the 2 sides, that car modifiers use when fitting aftermarket parts but all in all it was quite a good fit. Couple of the other guys have them fitted as well I dont know if they had any problems with theirs. I am really happy with it and at a car show yesterday a lot of the guys commented on how good it looked.
A big thank you mopedmark for the engine bay parts, again lots of questions and comments (all very good) about them
And thank you to Asad for the new badge
and some pics just from the show with some of the others cars that were on the stand

He gets all this sort of stuff from a motor factors shop, and uses the panel wipe with blue roll (like kitchen roll.... just incase you call it something else lol )
-
My brother uses stuff called panel wipe when painting the helmets, did have some in the garage, went to see what was in it and he has come and stolen it lol I used it on the car before I clayed it to get rid of all the wax and stuff, will take all contaminates of the paint but won't harm the paint. He said " lightly wet sand the primer then dry it then panel wipe it then tack rag it lightly and then apply top coat, tack rag is a cloth called tack rag
