  1. So previously posted, been through all the details before, and sorry for the old photos, but this needed to be done quickly.

We have been given a date for moving into our new house! This means I have made a deal with my wife that the spoiler needs to go before we move, otherwise it is going to the local Tip.

Last chance to save this spoiler at a new price.

  2. Is there a limiter I don't know about? Car topped out at 120mph?

Hopefully you were driving on the Autobahn, a private road or a track :stir:

Oooh don't let horus1970 see this. He's get awfully touchy when people make comments like this on a sports car forum!

  3. Full charging time on a Model S is very dependant on what source you charge it from.

From a Three-pin plug you can expect to be charging for a full 14 hours if you need to go from almost 0% to the recommended 85% battery charge, however Tesla practically throw in the first level unrated charging box for the home, when you buy the car New and Direct (only option really). With this charger the time for full charge drops significantly, to approx. 8 hours (so overnight as that is when you're likely to do it). There is a second upgrade available with Powerwall, another Tesla product. But the best option, and more readily available by the month is the Supercharger, which they are hoping to get to all major motorway services, this charges 80% of the battery in 30 mins, which, by the time you've driven the 300miles to Require a charge, chances are you should recharge for a bit too.

I really like the Tesla, sadly the Model S in all guises is way out of my price range, I'm sort of waiting for Model III, around 2017, or hoping that another company uses Teslas free patents to develop an electric 2-seater sports coupe, with a 200-300 mile range.

Well we can all dream a bit....

Overall, I'd give a D for execution, but I'm going to guess it took a lot of effort, so that's something.

In the future, when trying to get confrontational and irrationally reactive online, please use better grammar and English.

    Thank you.

  5. Wow. Thanks for the massively incorrect assumption. Did that make you feel better?? I will let you know that I do enjoy driving. At the right time and place. I've driven fast cars fast and hard, Ferraris and Lotus' at Thruxton, Single Seaters at Silverstone. I know how to drive a sports car and I know how and when to rag the nuts off a car. Which is probably why I'm not as worried about throwing my sports car around in situations where it is not appropriate. And, to save time in the future, I don't agree with a 70 mile an hour speed limit on modern motorways, but that is what we have in this country and, as drivers of top end cars, we should not be flouting how fast our cars can be driven.

If that's me being a killjoy, then I guess you'll think it's a good thing I'm changing car because then you don't have to associate yourself with me. But if it's me being a realist and using the sensible part of my brain, than you can thank me when you realise how obvious your statement can appear.

I have retracted the mats from this sale page, as keeping mats in the car before trade in was proving to be too challenging.

  7. Hi all,

I've come to the decision to bring my Part Ex date forward, so I will be leaving you all sooner. As I couldn't post my ad on 'Zeds For Sale' here to try to keep my car within this forum.

I'm sure it will be for sale soon enough for 7k, maybe 7,500 with Trade Marx New Forest soon enough.

Up until the point where I was trying to sell my car, the 3 years that I've been on this forum have been great, I've met great people and have learnt so much about the car, and how a good owners club operates, that I will always take forward.

I still love the 350Z, however, I am trying to buy my first house with my wife, and when you have mortgage meetings, and learn how much your car costs you on a monthly basis, I've had to prioritise that and become a bit more of a realist as to what I should be driving.

So I thank you all, not only for how welcoming you are, but of all the information you post. Because although I don't have many posts, I read so much of the forum that I am aware of a lot of the discussions that have been taking place.

I will probably still lurk a little bit, mainly to keep up to date with the Zed Shed updates, and the other projects going on, so I wish you all the best.

  8. I've got a Resonated Cobra at the moment bought from CS.

Sounds fantastic, not too obscene, which was important for me as I leave for work before 5am and didn't want to keep waking the neighbours.

  9. Very cheekily I can add, are you going to track the car? Otherwise why do you need the limiter removed?

It's a very cheeky comment, but one I feel needs to be said each time it is asked publicly.

  10. Yes that could be cut to a 350Z key I imagine, considering, technically a spoon could be cut to an ignition key. Then you can pay someone to do your programming for you to make the buttons work.

Although I'm not completely sure what the 3rd button there would do.

What is it you're looking to change? There was a thread on here a while ago about flip keys, although I can't find it currently. I think that used a current key to make it.
