  1. If that is the black one with a lady driver got a wave from her a couple of days ago near Dickersons roundabout on the way home about 17:00.
  2. If it was late afternoon it probably was me.
  3. That was me , saw you turning down into Stretham - gave a wave but you were gone !! They look black but they are dark brown Rotas
  4. Gallardo around Silverstone - ye gods what a beast Evo 8 FQ400 - again around Silverstone - and I thought the Gallardo was awesome - with traction/anti yaw control it is unbelievable Roll on a lottery win :)
  5. If it was a convertible it was probably me - wheels are Rota's.
  6. Ah, you were the blue one (great colour !!) who put on their 4 way flashers. Was going to flash but another car got in the way.
  7. Used to go to Walmer Secondary School (as it was in those days) and used to catch the train from Walmer station (if it is still open) to go to Dover Art School many, many moons ago ! Used to live in Celtic Rd (off Telegraph Rd/Thornbridge Rd) - haven't been back for years.
  8. "you could get a nice little VXT220" I assume you mean a VXR220 - I have seen a few been blown away by Evo's @ Silverstone - but that is by the by - but would you be seen in one ?
  9. I am somewhat surpised by the number of posts by people who are not happy with the performance of their 350's - didn't you do your homework before you spent your hard earned cash on one ? As a previous owner of a Mitsubish FTO that had come to the stage in it's life (ie 16 years old) that it was going to cost money to upkeep (but still seriously p****ed off Golf GTI drivers when they tried to be clever) my first choice was an Evo. However, after a fairly long search for a decent one that wasn't going to cost the earth and failed to do so, found my 350Z Roadster. I had a long look at what they could and couldn't do - and compared to an Evo FQ300/320 etc it is a no contest - cornering, straight line etc it is an Evo every time !! So rather than spend silly money on turbo/super charging a 350 for not a lot of gain (and still be outcornered/straight lined by an Evo FQ300/320 etc) do your homework !! I bought my 350 Roadster because it looked great, had a full dealer service history and for an 05 had only 24K miles and I knew it's limitations - but hey, give me an FQ360 any day of the week !! :) :)
  10. "I'm in Deal" Where I originally come from - whereabouts do you live there ?
  11. This link is missing - can it be replaced ? http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=57943&hilit=interior+led I would also like to change my dashboard light colour.
  12. It would seem that this link is no longer available: http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/arch%20...%20p/f-5.html
  13. Nissan @ Marshalls have 5lts 10/40 for just under £11 - I'll go for that. Can lay my hands on 6 Denso Iridiums for just short of £60 which I'll go for.
  14. Should have looked a bit harder and pressed on it a bit harder !! Have got owners handbook from Nissan @ Marshalls of Cambridge. Have also obtained 2nd key from same place - not cheap !! Guy was saying how often they get trade-ins with only one key. Saw a couple of posts about oil - recommendation is for 5/30 but have I read about using 10/40 ? Managed to get prices from Nissan parts department for filters etc - not too bad - but £95 for a set of 6 iridiums - I don't think so !! No not me - it will have the personalised plate from the FTO when paperwork come through. I have already noticed that people in Golf GTI's/2.0 TDI's, BMM Z3's etc all seem to think that they can straight-line you - very odd !!
  15. Thanks all for the welcome. This is the one from newmarket motors isn't it which was up for 9k?? Indeed it was - paid less than £9K with trade-in etc. At 22,000 miles, FSH, 18" Rota alloys and great condition I am pleased. They now have a 2007 for £9K, but @ 52,000 miles. I have also seen a 2007 @ Crown Motors in Soham and they are asking near £12K !! Couple of bits of advice please. Now know you have to have clutch depressed before it will start and that you need to have your foot on the footbrake before roof will retract/go back into place (live and learn huh !!) I need to know a: where I can lay my hands on an owners manual (loads of other Nissan stuff, but no handbook) b: how do I obtain a 2nd key as only one came with it. Oh yeh - where is the bloody horn ? Any help appreciated.
  16. Hi - all being well shall be the owner of an 05 350Z convertible on Monday Previous car was a Mitsubishi FTO which has stood me in good stead for the last 9 years - however, time marches on and she was going to start to cost money to keep on the road. If am perfectly honest - my preferred car would have been an Evo 8 FQ340/360 and had been looking around for about 3 months without find the one I wanted then came across the 350Z convertible - 22,000 miles, FSH and in great condition at a good price. Doubtless I shall be asking some silly (or perhaps not so silly questions) along the line. Mike
