  1. thanks Humpy I am in contact with JRC and RT-Performance. I used Tom at TGM in Fleet in the past (but not for body work) and he is straight talking and does exactly what he says. I am panicking about how the repair will look like. It is massively frustrating to repair something only to have to replace altogether. However, this could be my paranoid nature getting the better of me. I think I am going to use Jon at JRC in Fareham because of the previous post by Dave-350 and due to location. I will let you know of the results. But in any case here is a photo; let me know what you think. Thank you
  2. Hi Dave, I have a cracked front bumper on my 58 plate black 350Z. Another body shop said it was repairable but they are quire far from Fareham and I saw your post on JRC. Are they careful with their work and reasonable with their prices in your experience? Thank you

Thanks guys for the steer - I appreciate it. I will take it to a bodyshop this weekend. The car is a 58 reg so it is post facelift. Will see if it can be fixed and if not I will search for a second hand bumper online. I am sorry to hear about your encounter with the boar. A friend of mine hit a deer in Wisconsin (can't be far off a boar!) and it was devastation. VW Passat turned VW Polo in an instant. He was 6 foot 4 and now he is 5 foot 2. Yes the car was totalled.

Hi guys i have unfortunately hit a fox last night. The poor animal ran towards the hedge and then stupidly ran back to the middle of the road. I could not have swerved by that point. Can you please share your experiences/opinions on what I can do with my cracked bumper? The bumper on my Ebisu black 350Z has cracked on thr right hand side where the vertical orange light cluster is. Can I get this repaired? or do I need a new bumper off ebay or scrapyard? Can you please advise where to get a bumper from? When it is re-resprayed will it look newer than the rest of the car? I can get a 199 pound bumper in black off Ebay. It has stone chips and scratches. Can I get it resprayed and fitted for 100 quid? I am just trying to see how much it will ring me? Thank you for your help. greatly appreciated Regards
  5. Thank you guys After the expected bs trying to get me to return the wrong tyres and to put some unbranded tyres made of Kebab left overs he has agreed to fit RE050A of the correct size at the rear. Cheers for your comments and keeping me calm
  6. Guys I need your advice. I just bought a 350Z from a non-Nissan dealer (part of a large network of dealers) and the car has brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tyres all round. I have had the car for a week and I get the ESP (traction control if you like) kicking in even when I am accelerating in a straight line! I had a look and was shocked to find that the car has 225/45R18 91W tyres in the front AND 225/45R18 95W (Extra Load 225s) at the rear. I would like to think that this is an honest mistake by the dealer who basically asked someone to put on new tyres but because I had quite a few heated discussions with him whilst negotiating a price etc I am not sure how to approach the situation. I mean I will have only owned the car for a week tomorrow! I should be able to ask him to replace the rears free of charge based on the fact that the car is not roadworthy given that it is not as per the manufacturer's specification and on the basis that the Load Index on the rear tyres is also illegal as it is under the given 96 figure. What do you guys think? I need to have 245/45R18 96W at the rears and should not have to wait until these wear out. Plus is this not going to fail the MOT (due in 5 months)? And it will be dangerous in the rain for sure given my heavy foot! Any thoughts, experiences, recommendations on how to approach this will be greatly appreciated Thanks
