Bonjour!
It must be a trend! I traded my Rav4 for my zed
Drinks a bit more but my drive to work and back is so much more satisfying
-
I might have just asked him for a price on the engine cover
Looks ok to me!

Spark plugs by Nissan I would say the quote is bout right
On the other hand....I changed my coolant the other day and it took about 20 minutes and £21 of pre mix
£170.....rather poo a pineapple
-
It's brilliant! Your just typical miserable English men
-
What would be cheapest? Nissan have quoted ridiculous for the undertray
I'm wanting oe for the cover
-
As above
Thanks

Well, this is what i ended up doing
I took the bottom plug out of the rad and took the metal cap off and let it drain
Then I opened up the bleed screw from the hose towards the back of the engine
I then refilled the rad whilst squeezing the rad inlet hose until full, then input the bleed screw on and the cap on the rad
Started the engine, let it get up to temp, turned it off, topped it up
All is well
Maybe I just got lucky
I am going to do the same 3 more times, that way the majority of the coolant will be new by the end of it

P1, P2, P3
£170, £230, £250
That's my local Nissan. They also do a 3 year service plan for about £400 which in my case will be a 1-2-1
Robbed!
Wakefield Nissan: £109, £169 and £229
that is the bronze silver and gold fixed price servicing, they dont match up to P1,2 and 3 in terms of what you get
the zed is also not eligible for them
The zed is eligible for them as I have a written quote from them stating them prices
Maybe they have messed up, doing it myself as I feel competent
-
I've took the drain plug off of the rad and the metal cap, not a lot of coolant has come out :/
And the level in the coolant bottle hasn't changed
Have I to just fill the rad back up and watch for it coming out of the bleed screw?
-
As per title. I'm changing the coolant
The drain is on the bottom of the rad, but when I fill it back up, where is the bleed located?
Thanks

The nissan dealer near me quoted over 300 quid for a p1 (not that I'd normally go to the stealers but wanted to gage a ballmark figure) the local independant done it for 90 all in. Pays to shop around and go with a garage that knows what they are doing (preferably having worked on zeds before etc)
300 for a p1?! An oil change and a look round the car to make sure the wheels arnt flat or theres a bomb attached?!
Serious?

Brake fluid guide is in the guides section, Its a two man job really.
Coolant change guide is also in there I'm sure and a bit of a pain
I had a look but couldnt find any guide
I failed my airside driving licence today on eyesight...so that is my excuse

Thanks for all of the insight
I think that by what people are saying, i am going to try and find a set of part worn R888's as a full set is far too costly for what i am using them for.
I am also going to get the car set up properly as mentioned in the above posts
Also, ive been looking at the coilover side of things. Can somebody advise me further on this? I found that my z is the best handling car i have driven and the standard setup is brilliant. How would coilovers help more?
Is there a section regarding nurburgring lap times on here
-
Has it got a cold air feed looks nice
The cold air feed is surely the stock one sat infront of it
-
Im from the Leeds/Bradford Area regarding the geo setup
Ive just been looking at the R888's, nearly 1000 sheets for the full set;
Surely i could pick up some used coilovers for around that? Would they not be more beneficial?
Thanks for your advice
-
Im all over the R888's like a rash then!
What is the geo setup likely to cost? And could someone advise (post a link) as to where i can get this done. Preferably where some other Z drivers have used
-
We are well informed of the lack of insurance on the ring As we wont be racing each other at the same time, we are just going to be cautious and sensible
Are the R888's really THAT good? I would be driving down on them too so i suppose that would make them a little more worn
-
a really good geo setup should be on the list
Can you expand a little? I can rebuild engines...but this side of things baffles me
-
Im going to the nurburgring at the end of next month with a few friends. Im taking the Z, theres 2 VW Polo GTI's going, both circa 230-240bhp (Mighty quick things) and a few others
Theres a prize for the fastest lap, and i want it
I know straight line speed isnt my forte, so i want the corners to make that up
Any ideas, links welcome
Ive had a quick seach but cannot find anything definitive

Bonjour!
I booked this into nissan for a diagnostic and to fix the fault....
I set off at 8am to take it......and the light went off by itself! It must of known it was in trouble
Still, i took it in and explained. They still wanted 50 sheets to plug it in and see what the fault WAS. Told them no, i'll bring it back if the light comes back on
Its stayed off ever since

so I'm not the only one!
I always stick the z in 2 or a Parent and child bay! Saves on the bodywork
