  1. looks abit wierd, all honda aerial's should be nice a smooth as I use to have one and you can buy the one you really want on ebay but will cost a fair bit, i think a brand new one would set you back £20? from honda dealers
  2. I honestly had no idea it’s a cheap/temporary fix, and to be fair I only read the “CV joints†related clicking noise on the form but now I know, I guess you can’t trust the dealers when they say “it’s now known†(implying that its fairly recent discovery) and thats me thinking I was on to something and share this experiance with folk Well im problem free for now and hopefully forever
  3. Hi all, After purchasing my 54plate Zed a couple of weeks ago I have heard the notorious clicking noise coming from the rear as I drive/turn at slow speeds. The previous owner had said the CV joints may need replaced, so I took my car to a local Nissan dealer and told them what I thought need fixed but they said its not CV joints but the drive shafts needed greased? and said that its now known by the nissan dealers of this problem. Anyways I left the car for them to repair and a few hours later I got the call to pick up my car, all is well and the noise is gone! this is their report: Checked Clicking noise from drive shafts. Carried out repair as per bulletin, removed rear drive shafts, cleaned up & greased mating face. Retorqued all removed components to spec, Carried out road test & found all ok. hope this will help folk, Tony
  4. Will do, but it needs a proper clean first I got a wee bit carried away today so its dirty plus I still cant upload pictures I think its cause im newbie
  5. Hey Stuarty, thanks for getting in touch and telling me all this, you have not only saved me time and money but most importantly the reassurance of a looked after, well maintained Zed and for that I applaud you I do have one question tho, when I move off at slow speed whilst turning the rear of the car makes a “clinking†noise as if coins are being dropped? Is this due to the rear CV joints? Many Thanks, Tony

    Hello!

Hi mate, you've bought my old car. The socket on the wing was fitted by the guy i bought it from and is a charging point for a trickle charger. Theguy hardly used the car and wanted to keep the battery charged Hey! small world how I managed to purchase a car from arnold sharks that was owned by a member of this form I now have extreme peace of mind that the car was well looked after, and thanks for letting me know about the "socket" but i personally thought it was of no use to me and asked the dealer to remove it. So its all good
  7. I’ve finally picked up my Zed this afternoon, sounds sweet, drives sweet, sweet weather, kept the gf sweet (with the roar of the V6)... all in all pretty damn good day cant even wipe the grin off my face and i dont know about any of you guys but I got alot of stares from random drivers , the Zed is completely standard so i came to the conclusion that its cause I'm one good looking chap cheers, Happy Tony
  8. Forgot to say it a 2004 GT with 55k miles on the clock, it does have full and up to date service history but i was wanting more peace of mind
  9. Hi folks, as some of you may know im picking up my Zed tomorrow! (tooexcited.com ) and was contemplating on taking it to "Infiniti Glasgow" for a P3 service and sparks changed, got a friendly e-mail back from David and the quote I got back was £293.00 + VAT? now its my first Zed/rear wheel drive/high performance car and i want it to be as sound as a pound. The question(s) im asking is... has anyone taken there pride on joy there? hows the quality of service/work? and is this quote reasonable? Thanks in advance, Tony

    Hello!

Thanks everyone, as cheesy as it may sound its nice to be in a friendly welcoming club, so cheers! I tried to post a picture of my problem but I can't due to the fact of me being a newbie or my computer incompetence lol but anyways I'm still confused of what the "socket" like thing sticking out of the Zed is or what it wants from me? Any help would be very welcomed Cheers Tony

    Hello!

Hi, I'm new to this and a "Zed owner to be" (purchased it yesterday but picking it up next week ) a 54plate Carbon Quartz 350z! iammegachuffed.com! and cant wait to drive it. I've joined this form a while back but thought id post something untill I actually got my hands on one. So Hi all I just have one question, my Zed seems to have a small "socket" type thing sticking out of the car... under the O/S indicator light to be precise its the size of a 5pence piece and looks like a smaller version of a 12v socket you'd have in the car? (I dont have a picture of it right now but will post one later today) now the garage i got it from has no idea what its for but said they'd remove it and patch it up but i'd still like to know what it was for, any feedback would be much apperciated! Cheers, Tony
