  1. Just came across a website that offers a engine cleaning service which removes built up carbon in the engine. They say it helps to restore horsepower, smoother performance and makes your car more responsive. Has anyone ever had this done to their Zed? Seems like a simple procedure and relatively cheap for the benefits. (£99)

Here's the link to the site I looked at

Just wondering if it's worth trying it out and if any members have tried it and their views.

    Cheers

  2. we had this issue with my girlfriends Clio. I looked online and found some software that generates the code. All I had todo was type in the model/serial number. Not sure if there's anything like this about for the zed? May be worth a search.

  3. I have a oem y-pipe which has badly damaged flexi joints. Not sure if anyone can repair these or if its worth doing but I just thought id post it on here before it gets chucked. Not sure if i need to post photos as im not making money from this but I can upload some when I get home tomorrow if needs be.

    Cheers, Joe

  4. Trouble is it has made me a bit nervous now it was quite traumatic but just pleased that I managed to pull out of it before it let go completely.

Don't be nervous, That's what condoms are for :)

On a serious note, after reading through this and through the other tyre posts, il be ordering some mpss tyres at the end of the month.

  5. Yeah I do need to get myself a plenum spacer fitted. To be honest, the only reason I bought is was because I had to order a new y-pipe and this popped up on the side so I clicked add to basket haha! I'm about to fit the y-pipe now so let's see if that makes any difference also.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of price would I be looking at to have the Uprev installed?

  6. Today I fitted the Popcharger to my Zed and just thought I'd let anyone know who's considering purchasing one to go for it! Very easy to remove stock filter box and to my surprise even easier to fit the Popcharger. Only difficulty I came across was fitting the heat shield with the two screws but had it all complete in 30mins.

Started the zed and was very impressed with the deeper tone. I've got decats fitted and a scorpion exhaust and to me it seems as if the car sounds a lot more 'meaty'. Can't notice a loss/gain in power but I suppose I need it mapping to see any difference?

Just thought I'd do this post for anyone who can't decide on which intake to go for and say just how easy it is to fit this one. I'm Going to attempt to fit a new y-pipe tomorrow but I think that may be difficult due to the bolts being rusted!!

  7. I bought one from Tarmac Sportz last week and I'm having it fitted tomorrow. I was going to purchase the Stillen but I opted for the cheaper one as they said they had it in stock ready to go. Il let you know how I get on with the fitting and if I found any issues. Great price and obviously got warranty. Not sure if eBay is the same?

  8. Been after a Y-pipe this last week and the one I'm after will take up to two weeks to arrive from America. If anyone's got one available please let me know as mine has completely had it now.

    Cheers, Joe
