  1. I know what you're talking about, so don't worry, someone appreciates this!

I'd go for a sticker saying, "I've got a tree fiddy" with an outline of the car and maybe something South Park related rather than the monster! Those who know will get it, but those who don't will think it's just about the car.

  2. I thought about this earlier, but as nice as the wheels are the real cost comes down to tyres, mine are all good tyres with tread, but the fronts are different to the rears so that'd put people off on a swap... and by the time you change tyres it all adds to the cost etc.

Well considering it would cost about £40-50 to do the tyre swap, what would you be looking for?

I know it's a long shot, but the seed of curiousity has been planted now!

  3. I will literally travel anywhere in a 50 mile radius for someone to do this for me...and I will pay them!

I am absolutely hopeless at stuff like this so wouldn't want to put my car at risk.

I live in Milton Keynes....so if anyone close would want to spend a couple hours on this one weekend for a bit of extra cash, PLEASE give me a shout!

  4. Holy crap!

    My local Nissan charge P1 - £170, P2 - £230, P3 - £250.

I just did a P3 there and got it for £190 because I'm nice :teeth:

They also do a 3 year service plan for £360ish and the next 3 services seperate would cost £570. This also includes 3 years RAC recovery and an added 10% discount on all parts that may be needed in those 3 years, although it's still cheaper to go elsewhere for most parts.

    What Nissan is this?!

  5. Phew, good to see I'm not the only bean counter on here.........am 33 and now work as a financial reporting manager. Studied engineering at university before switching to the dark side and becoming a qualified accountant :) Must admit I do love a good spreadsheet though so no regrets!

    Another accountant here!

I do love a good spreadsheet too!

  6. I just say 350z.

Most blokes know what you mean, in which case we have a chat about it and other cars.

If the person doesn't know what I mean, I just say "It's a Nissan".

I didn't buy this car to impress anyone, so don't care enough to try and explain the car to ppl and to justify driving a Nissan. If it needs justification, they aren't into cars and therefore, I'd rather talk about something other than cars!

  7. I have spent all morning shopping around and the best quote I've managed to get is £852 with Sky, with a £250 excess.

That's for a 27 year old bloke with 2 motoring convictions in 08 & 09 and also I've only owned the car 2 months.

The next best quote was over £1k.

Not exactly happy to be spending that much on insurance, but I still think it was a good quote considering my circumstances.

  8. Looked like it had had a rear end smash, back box was shoved well back under the rear bumper, the paint work looked as if it had been cleaned with a scouring pad, and interior was well worn. Something just didn't sit right with me.

The car sales place is what you would expect from a back street garage, tacky to say the least, and grotty.

My advice, please stay away from this car, but pay your money and take your chances, as they say.

Having owned in excess of 80 cars in my time, I think I am a pretty good judge of cars, this one just oozed,

    DON'T BUY ME!

Considering that you're suggesting this car might not be all that it's cracked up to be, have you suggested they change the name of the company to Bull*hit cars?

  9. That looks like fun!

I've got a road trip across America planned in November.

18 days....4000 miles...if only I could do it in a Zed instead of some cr*ppy American thing.

Convertible Mustang? Most of the hire companies have these as options, Plan to do something similar one day, fly into LA, pick up the 'Stang down to Vegas, death valley, then head down towards Yosemite then onto SF then back up the PCH.

Convertible Mustang is the best option I've seen so far.

I'm planning on flying into Orlando...and then going to Miami to start our journey to San Francisco.

    Coast to Coast...can't wait!

  11. I'm often surprised how many rims look awful on Zeds - rims which I like when I see an image of them by themselves but once on a 350 look dreadful. I'm guessing it's as the Zed is so aesthetically strong it doesn't suit overly complicated 'fussy' alloys hence the Rays and the Rotas suit it so well.

I personally think the Rota's look great. Yes they do look plain compared to others so I can see why AresnalMoh might find them a bit dull.

    All subjective though, innnit?

    S.

  12. It's actually a crazy conspiracy theory. CS and Rarerims each run 20 additional board multi accounts to create an illusion that everybody has them to pressurise people into thinking that they really ought to purchase them themselves. All photos are photoshopped and there are rumours that Andy's RX-7 boot hides alien bodies that escaped from Area 51.

    Love the imagination!

What other conspiracy theories can you entertain us all with until the bell goes for hometime?!
