  1. ive been looking for mods for my 2008 hr 350z and while lok for induction kits and such i noticed this on Tarmac sports website its stated to be for the 370z but as the two cars have a very simular / or the same induction setup would this on fit on the hr engin.. if not what is the actoual diffrence between the two cars?

  2. hey andy this is totaly of topic but love the car im the guy you were speaking to at gurston down on sunday, abosulty awsome machine total sleeper and the jet noise it makes just makes me wana charge my car so much. just a quick question are you still running the standard suspension on the z and what splitter is that you have? its look awsome..

  4. hi i have owend my 350z for about a year now its a 58 plate hr engin model and has just reaced 39000 miles but lately i have noticed that when i let the revs drop below 1500 rpm normaly when im in second turning into a side road when i go to excelerate again i get a judder what ive alway related to flywheels.. i know that the hr models normaly need a replacment flywheel after about 30000 so im aware that this is probably the problem. the thing is i would like to put a lightend flywheel in mainly because of the price of an oe unit is rediculose but if i was to replace with an aftermarket lighted version would this stop the juddering or would it not make it worse cos i have herd of lightend flywheels juddering on somecars also a friend of mine is a technician and he was saying that at his work the have had a notice come threw telling them on cars with dual mass flywheeels not to replace them with single mass cos you could run the risk of snapping the crank how true is this.. any addvise or sugestions would be very much appreciated

  5. im sure this may have been asked before but im looking into getting a remap either by abbey or hdev and was wondering what sort of gains would i expect in power and torque just with basic mods like pannel filters decats and a good exaust. does the hr engin respond well to n/a tuning will i get good gains?

    just wondering because i see alot of de engines with basic mods and they make fairly good gains i know its not all about peak figues on a dyno but im just interested to what sort of power i could be looking at after

  6. Got a custom one at the moment = great torque but about to buy a new one which is less likely to bend my rods when I go S/C still staying true dual as it sounds :teeth:

    how is an exaust going to bend your rods unless you have a rediculose amount of back pressure i dont understand?

  7. surly you could just buy a kit for the de then buy the gtm intercooler and the jobs a gooden how much difrent is the laY out under the bonnet between a vhr - hr and the de because i recon after having a look that the vhr and hr are very simular dont they both use the same inlet mani anyt way ?

  8. hi ive had my hr 350z about six months now and have allways liked the idea of superchargeing it in the near future but as most of you are aware the gtm rotrex kit is the only one available for my car at the moment.. but i have noticed that this kit is the same for 350z and the 370z.

    so i was thinking stillen have just released a 500bhp vortex (i think correct me if im wrong )kit for the 370z could this not be converted to fit the 350z hr engin i know the stillen kit uses a top mounted charge cooler in place of the inlet manni so may not fit at all.. how much diffrent is the hr externaly compaired to the vhr 370 engin??

  9. hello mate i drive an 08 hr ive had it 6months and i bought it from a nissan dealer so has warranty and i had exacly the same problem the pedal stayed down after a long drive i was gettting a wineing and a juddering at low rpm took it to the stealers they said it was normal. took my car out on friday nite and strait away i knew somthing wasnt right the cluch pedal felt spongey and had no feel at all ii made it bout a mile down the road and bang pedal stuck to the floor pulled and now the cluch pedal goes down but wont engage/ disengage the cluch so totaly undriveable so i checked the resevouir fluid and it was bloody empty it only went in for a sevrvice two weeks prior which i paid £550 forwhy they didnt notice then god only knows ..

    angry is an understatement i rang nissan told them what i thought of them i had no car over the bankholliday weekend my blood was boiling asked why the mecanic who serviced/mot the car was unable to notice it was leaking and the guy behind the counter just couldnt care less.. i just give up now im waiting to hear the out come what every happened to getting a service in theese places not even a priority just get the idea they will get round to it when they can be arsed. evwen just a "im sorry to hear that sir" or somthing along thoes lines but no i think dealers are intimidated by people with a knolage of cars because they clearly know very little theem selvs

  10. thank guys for the replys .. im based down gosport so quite away from dorset. and yes it is an hr engin it an 08 just done 34000miles i dont know what to think tbh

    am i rite in thinking there was a recall on 07+ cars about the slave cylinder or was this just usa cars??? ... also is their even such a thing as nissan tec support and if there is why do the mecanics have such little knollage on the car that they have to use itdoes make me think that i should go somwhere else but the car still has 1years warranty .. also my mot is due begining of may and i booked it in with them for a full servisewith nissan .. and for an mot p2 servise and diff oil gear oil anspark plugs i got quoted 800pounds .. but am i rite in thinking my car should be having a p3 service this time round ????

  11. Hi i have an 08 plate 350z and i love it to bits . I bought it from a nissan dealer in january but ever since i have had the car their has been a whineing sound coming from what i believe to be the gearbox. So i get the car booked in and they told me it was normal and that it was fine i was a bit dubious about this tbh but i took their word for it but the problem has became much worse the car judders at 1500 rpm in any gear and if u take the revs above 3000rpm in second gear their is a bad whining coming from somwhere in the drive-train. It also does it in 6th gear on the motorway i understand their was a recall on my car, i mentioned this to the nissan dealer and he thoughht i was lieing and that they spoke to tec support and every thing is fine what do i do?
