  1. Firstly I'd like to thank Chris (Tarmac) for supplying me with these  top bloke! Berks were with me within a couple of days and after an initial muck up on Invidia's part the Gemini was eventually delivered to Chris :p ! Very pleased with the quality of the HFC's and Zaust they seem very well made.

Was going to have a go at fitting these myself but was advised otherwise. So after the new year i rang RS Tuning Leeds and booked her in for fitting and an UpRev :D . Arrived there around 10 in the morning and was driving out by 2 in the afternoon. Was smiling the whole way home :teeth: . The Gemini gives off a lovely noise and the Berks give it that extra bit of depth, not raspy tinniness. There's hardly any difference to cabin noise, and the car is just as quiet when cruising along at a steady speed, but oh my...once the foot is to the floor :scare: !! The car's much more responsive now, i had my suspicions whether or not the UpRev would actually have much of an impact, but Paul managed to squeeze an extra 13ft/lb torque right throughout the range and increase BHP from 292 to 304.5. She feels like a new car now :drive1 ! So a big thanks to Paul and the team for their efforts  !

Only downside was that the zaust was a bit too well fitting and was actually rubbing the underside of the car on one of the flexi's of the zaust. Only rattled when i hit 2000rpm when accelerating or decelerating. So a quick visit to Bush on the way home and 15 minutes with their oxy-acetelyne torch the car was sorted. Best of all they didn't even charge me! The guy just said give the lad a few quid for a pint or something  .

Sadly i don't have any photo's at the moment as I'm busy with work but once i get the time i will upload them!

  2. So now i've had my Zed for a little while i think it's time for me to purchase my first mod.

Originally i was thinking open cone induction like the pop charger however the more i read into open cone induction on the zed, more and more people are saying that this is a disadvantage and i would actually lose BHP. So it seems that sticking with the stock airbox and replacing the standard filter for a high performance one is the best shot?

Question is...which one is the better out there? Or are they all pretty much as good as each other?

    Cheers

  3. Hey dude,

I was in the same situation as you 4 weeks ago! I'm only 21 and had a C2 Loeb. Yes its a bit more expensive to run but definately worth it!! :teeth: . Just get one :) you wont be disappointed!!

I see your username is outline.....I think i recognise your username from c2club? I used to be on there as jt_loeb_155

Haha amazing! Yeah I've posted my progress on C2Club, mods stopped as soon as I decided I wanted a 350 instead... Since then, I've been 'putting up with' my VTS :p

    Cheers Rhys :)

Yeah i've read through your progress thread before :)

C2's nice 'n all, quite pokey lil' pocket rocket. But nothing compared to the zed; build quality, power, sheer satisfaction. As I said not had mine too long but i definately haven't looked back :p
