Yeah the running costs im not to worried as i used to have a mazda rx8 for 6 months (worst mpg ever) and i managed to run that without any problems and now ive got a huge pay rise it seems ok lol

Obviously with abit of haggling i could easily get the price down! I get what everyone is saying about having a low budget might backfire when it comes to a clutch or gearbox but everytime i have bought a car i get the car checked out by my mechanic who basically does a 'AA CAR CHECK' without the stupid fees LOL Thanks for the advice though! Good to know people look out for everyone!!!

Thanks for the replies guys! I should of made it a bit clearer that my max to buy a zed 5500 without insurance! The running cost like petrol doesn't really concern me as I'm getting a new job soon closer to me which is walking distance really ! If I saw a zed for 5800 I would try to get it within my budget but if it was to good to miss out on then I would probably get it!

Hello Everyone After being on the forum for a few days i've learnt quite alot from everyone! I wanted to ask peoples opinions on my budget that i have to get a zed next year when i turn 21. My max is 5500 to buy a zed! I've looked on the auto trader and pistonheads and have seen that i will be looking at car with 60,000 - 70,000 miles on the clock ( no idea whether there uk odo or japan odo miles) What type of mechanical work should i be looking out for e.g.clutch changed or not, whats the minimum amount of services the car should have? Im sure i'll think of other stuff aswell lol Feedback Appreciated!

Im just hoping that these next few months go quick so i can get a zed!! lol I've seen a few on the net,i'll put a few links up to get a bit of feedback. Are the stereos and speakers any good?

Thanks for the replies I've checked the insurance and it's £1154 while it's £1500 for a clip 182 :S My main concerns is the clutch which is as you say catching it at the right time for the flywheel! Is there any specialists that replace zed clutches near the midlands area?

Hi Everyone As im looking to buy a 350z when i turn 21 (march 2012) so i joined up on the forum to make sure i know what to look for when i come to buy a zed! 1. If i had to change the clutch would i need to also change the flywheel? (im not the best mechanical person in the world lol) 2. Are all 350z's chain driven? im looking to buy a 2003 - 2005 zed Those are the main two questions at the moment! I'm sure i'll think of a few more. Feedback much appreaciated!

I have been looking around on the forum and have seen the clutch goes but some say its less than 20k miles or 60k miles! I take it changing the clutch also means changing the flywheel?

i was about 1k when i was 20 Which insurance was that with ?

Yeah i looked at the insurance before deciding to buy and i when i turn 21 insurance for a 350z 1154.03 which is quite good taking into account that the cheapest quote i got for a renault meganesport was 1500! Ive seen quite a few nice zed's on the forum! (wish i was 21 so i could get one of them now lol)

Hello everyone Im new to the forum! Im currently 20 years old (21 in march next year) Been looking for my next car to get a idea and after a month of looking ive decided to get a 350z!!!
