Hi mate, I had an 04 RX-8 before my zed and my only regret is why did I wait so long!

As you've said I don't see much to compare other that it's a front engine RWD well powered car. I had the 231 RX-8 and although it seemed fun, for 231bhp it seemed pretty gutless and found my self really having to rev the knackers off it to find some performance! In short when you test the Zed it will be a no brainer!

Does it clonk all the time? Mine does when I come on or off power ferociously, I reckon its the diff bushes.

 

If its not power related then its got to be suspension, get it up in the air and hang off some parts

Well it is only when I go over a bump but can't be suspension as I have coil overs on which are just a few months old! Hmmm...

My brother can fit the ARB bushes, he did mine. Its not too hard

Just calling on any further experience as Iv changed the drop links this weekend (what a nightmare thanks to seized bolts) but the knocking still remains, I didn't change the bushes at the time as it was too late to order them so took a chance, is it probably worn bushes that's giving me this knocking or could there be anything else worth looking at? Thanks!

Hi, just wondered if anyone knows any obvious signs for a worn when bearing, I can hear the whirring sound and have some minor vibration but cannot tell which wheel it's from. Thanks

Just bought my first Z and I'm delighted. I have

One issue however, I have a knocking noise for the rear of the car, sounds like suspension but has recently had coilovers fitted so shouldn't be this. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas or any known issues were about?

Also any recommended garages around west Yorkshire that I could trust?

Huge thanks to Ross @ Japex for sorting out a knocking suspension noise today which turned out to be an ARB link. Diagnosed and replaced whilst I waited meaning I could even get to work and not have to take a days holiday!

 

Massively helpful and knowledgable about the car too. Meant that despite living 5 mins from a Nissan I will certainly be driving over and using them for all my 350z needs

Hi mate, what kind of knocking sound did you have? I have a knocking coming from the rear, happens when I hit any kind of bump and is annoying me now! I have coilovers on the car which are pretty new so written that off, any ideas? I would like to take it to japex as they seem to know what they're doing but bit far as I live in leeds. Cheers
