  1. Where are you based? Maybe if somebody on the forum is local to you they might let you have a look at there Zed so that you could compare. I really think you need to drive it to know whether you like it. You could even get a 1day insurance for around £20 if that's the reason. Are you willing to travel for a 350z? I'm only asking because I think there are loads of better ones about for the money. But that might just be me. It just seems that it's got silly mods etc and for some reason I wouldn't trust it. A performance clutch wouldn't make the clutch any stiffer than normal although I wouldn't imagine it to be an issue anyway.

  2. no point playing with tyre pressures, won't help. at the end of the day those rear tyres are made from the scraps of an eleastic band factory. they are crap. changing pressures on them is like polishing a turd. how ever hard you try its still a turd.

  3. Get onto camskill.com and buy a full set of falken fk452's for about 450quid delivered. They may be less than that as sometimes they're on offer. 225.45.18 and 245.45.18. Very good speed and load ratings and once they're run in they're fantastic for the money and tread wear is really good. Can't go wrong. You might pay 1k for the bridgestones and they'll be worn out in half the time. Effective costing you 4x as much for no real noticeable gain on grip. Read some reviews etc.

     

    And no I don't work for falken. :p

  4. I wouldn't advise putting holes in it.

     

    Is it the HR twin intakes ? I have a fair few options not on the website, or the Stillen high capacity intake for the DE is a great replacement.

     

    Custom exhausts can be good if you find a decent place, resale value is pretty bad compared to a branded system.

  5. Sorry dude but I think you've had no replies as you need to be more specific - do you mean the wheel rotated 1/2" or do you mean the wheel (when lifted) could be moved 1/2"? If the latter, it's pretty serious.

     

    I believe he meant that it could be rotated 1/2 inch. Normal?

  6. Hi. Anybody know of a method of creating the extra induction sound on the 300bhp revup model without having to remove the decent airbox. I had a JWT popcharger on my 54plate and loved the sound. However not overly keen on ruining the air intake on the my06 by removing the standard airbox. Has anybody tried putting an extra hole on the cold side of the airbox or anything like that? She seems a little muted.

     

    Also, do you think id be mad getting a custom true dual system fitted rather than going with one of the well known brands? Any advice would be great.

  7. Hi. Just had some new tyres fitted. The guy said that there was about 1/2 an inch movement on the rear wheels when he was removing them. He was unsure whether it was normal, maybe something to do with the diff?

     

    He also said that he heard the car click as I reversed back and braked. As if the wheels had an extra 1/2" turn before that stopped?

     

    Any ideas?

  8. I'm picking up my new 06 facelift 350z on the 12th but I think the drivers window needs re learning to know where the top is etc so that it stops at the top and drops down when opening the door. Is this just a case of doing an ECU reset using the peddle dance? Anybody know if this works for resetting the windows? Also I really wanted one that came with a Sat Nav built in, but unfortunately had to go for this one without the sat nav. How easy is it to get hold of a sat nav and install it properly? Major job or easy?

     

    Any help would be great.

  9. Hi everyone. I recently sold my 350z and bought an s2000 but have decided to get another Z again instead and sell the Honda. I just viewed a pretty well priced 06 facelift 350z GT. I was keen on buying it until I viewing it but found a few small issues that I would like some advice on. Are they common issues and can they be easily rectified?

     

    1) Gearbox makes a small clunk when engaging 6th gear at higher revs. Every other gear seems fine and 6th is fine at lower speeds? Can this be sorted easily or is it likely to be serious? He said it's done it since he's had it but I'm worried it will only get worse?

     

    2) Drivers window goes back down when it gets all the way up. Also it doesnt drop down when opening the door. It's as if it doesnt recognise that it's all the way up. Can this be re programmed or something?

     

    3) Both doors are a bit clicky when opening. Noticed that the bolts appear to be loose holding the hinges.

     

    This is all thats concerning me majorly. The only other things are the normal ones like boot wont open properly without help and Bose CD playing skipping.

     

    Any help and advice would be great. Thankyou
