Looked around for an TT/S3 engine, nothing going,those that were are too much money and usually just bare engine,no turbos,ecu etc,do require loom and other bits so he decided a cheap donor car the best option.

Presume u tried to use Nissan stealers on Southwell Road,what a load of crap they are,used them once ,never again.Gordon Lambs at Chesterfield are better.When i changed my exhaust was told the 'crush ring' was a factory fit item,if that was removed then a gasket was a subsequent replacement.

I took mine to my local garage and helped them with it,sheared one of the studs from the flange,found easiest way was to unbolt 2 of the hangers from the chassis,was easy to put the replacement one back on after that..Charged me £35.Still got the now repaired back box!

Had my refund too,without any exsplanation.Have asked them why they have refunded my payment.Be interesting to see how consistant there replies are!

Just had a look on E-bay they are still at the same price,either shop closed for the week or no ones bothered to check their e-bay account,which i doubt seeing the amount of items they sell.

Other option is shop owners done a runner to Spain with all our money

Irrespective of what price you pay for a job you should always exspect the best job possible,when someone gives you a price for a job they dont say '£225 for a crap job' then' £300' for a brilliant job,then leave you to choose the standard you want.Incidentally i work in quality control for an engineering company so do know what to look for as regarding quality work.

Hi,i too have a used back box for sale,flange has been professionally rewelded and one of the studs drilled out,rest of silencer is in very good condition.Chrome ends polished up very well.Can also supply with new nut,bolts and washers.If interested PM me and will send some pics.
