  1. Best mods, must be the invidia G35 exhaust with flamed tips and the berks HFC's,it sounds soooooo :cloud9: and looks the dog's danglies B) (cheers Tarmac)

No mods done that I don't like

Downside would be erm............. can't think of anything that I find annoying except perhaps Nissan not doing some of this stuff originally to make the car how it should be as standard.

  2. Hi mate,I did the Gallardo at Elvington airfield,York, last saturday,a beautiful car but felt a bit let down afterwards, had two laps with the "instructor" in a scooby- he drove showing brake boards/lines into corners, then had six laps driving the lambo myself, stunning into corners, but was expecting thrown back in your seat stuff, whether the straights werent long enough or what i didn't get that feeling at all, would have loved to have done it in the Zed to be honest, top speed-115mph :bang:

  3. Cheers guys for the comments,am well pleased with the results, the car drives so much better as a daily drive

    Nice one mate.

Looks and sounds like you are well chuffed with the results.

    What's next.......?

new back end, sills and front lip mate B);)

  4. After getting the new zorst and cats fitted last week, made the trek down to RS tuning at Leeds to have the plenum spacer fitted and Uprev loaded into the car.

Specky took twenty minutes or so to fit the plenum spacer and then it was down to Paul to do his stuff with the uprev software.Straight off it looked like the spacer added around 10BHP,after around 20 runs on the dyno and Paul tweaking the fuel ratios and cam timing we got to the best figure he could achieve 311BHP :yahoo:

Once done we took it out for a wee spin and straight away the feel of the car was totally different, power was on tap right away, and top end just kept going and going

A big thanks to the guys of RS tuning for the work done and good crack.

So,summing it up after having the car on motorway for a couple of hours and then a couple of days of 'normal' driving around i'd recommend the uprev totally.

couple of pics of plenum spacer fitted and dyno result.

  5. Looking well B) by the way with all the sound to match. Bet you can't wait until Friday, an Uprev will certainly compliment those mods!

Hopefully get to hear it soon as like Andrew says, a small meet-up should be in order.

It acts as a reminder to me to get my finger out and sort an exhaust for myself. A few weeks ago I had to have a small bit of welding on the usual suspect rear flange to back box before it's MOT, so it's about time the oem exhaust went. My mechanic did recommend going dual but I was thinking it may be too loud for me - or maybe I'm just getting old before my time....... :wheelchair:

Hi mate, hows the injury? you recovered? sounds superb, low rumble on tick over then when you give it some

Deffo have to get a wee get together sorted as Andy says

  6. First off a massive thanks to Chris (Tarmac) for organising and delivering the exhaust and new cats  cheers mate.

Just back from Camskill who fitted the new kit,WOW,the sound!! :cloud9: the guys down there were drooling at the kit never mind when it was fitted and the loud pedal pressed. One of them saying "you think it sounds sexy outside, get in and listen to it" and hell is he right,it's a glorious low rumble and when you give it some it growls right back at you ,but not ear bleeding loud. The build quality looks excellent with superb welding and finish of both items.Am so pleased already and it will only get better once settled in.

  7. Hi mate, have been 3 times, twice to cayo coco and once to cayo guillarmo, absolutely love the place, a more chilled relaxed holiday you will be pushed to find anywhere.Really depends on what you want to do with your time-for me it was pretty much all about the fishing, so these two places ticked all the boxes, history, well got to be mainland, lots go to varadero and then head on excursions to havana. The Cuban people, imo, are the friendliest, nicest folk I have met, cannot do enough for you. What time of year are you thinking of mate,I preferrred from may through till july, again, best of the fishing and calmest weather.Give me a shout and will help any way i can

:bangin: Should read your post properly........... can't comment on november mate as never been that time...soz

  8. No advice from me marra (other than go for it) but would love to hear it after the mods. I've been thinking about an exhaust upgrade for a while as i've always liked the sound of AK's Nismo but meant to be saving ££££'s for a house move.

Hope you're impressed with the results and maybe you can pursuade me......

Hello mate not seen you around for a while, hows it going?

  9. Great, thanks for the replies, Clarkie, think it was your post i'd read about it running lean that spurred me to ask the question, How about if I get all done here by Camskill xept the HFC's and get RS to fit them when i get the uprev.

What do you guys do when you get new exhausts put on, keep the old one(mine seems fine) or scrap it, that's my reason for having most of the work done up here.

  10. Hi guys, have got the car booked into RS tuning in october for an uprev,I'd also mentioned that I would be getting a plenum spacer, stillen Y pipe, berk HFC's and a scorpion xorst and for them to fit these,or I could get these fitments done at Camskill then i'll at least be able to get the old exhaust and other bits back home easier, question is with this stuff fitted would it have any bad affect- running issues on the car without the uprev done for a few weeks?

    cheers

    Ian
