  1. is the car new to you? has it always been like this or is this a new fault? try the same test with ESP switched off and go from there
  2. plus if the tyres on the rears were brand spanking new and it was raining then they would be very slippery. as when tyres come out the factory they have a sort of plasticy film layer over them to keep them looking a nice shiny black during storage. tyres can be the sames as brakes - they require bedding in before they are ready to take a hammering!
  3. combine what myself and chris have both mentioned and i think you will have found the cause! usually a bust sensor would ping a warning light on the dash constantly! so its gotta be somthing simple!
  4. That sounds exactly like whats wrong, i had new rears fitted a few weeks back and the fronts have about 3mm left. Also the cars been lowered, not sure if that would have an effect? Cant see why it would though.. To the guy who asked they are the normal road f1's. Looks like new front tires then, thanks once you have had the front tyres replaced - you will need to monitor the tyre pressures as part of the problem you are having could be that the pressures are out - this would mean that the rolling radius of the tyres would be different to that of which the ECU is expecting to see from the ABS sensor. this is exactly how tyre pressure warning light systems work. (not on the z it doenst have a TPC system) obviously a very slight drop in tyre pressure wouldnt give this fault - but if the front tyres are on 3mm and havent had the pressures checked for a long time they are bound to be out which would mean the rolling radius isnt matching the figure the ECU is expecting. Its a very simply concept - sometimes these are the things we forget which end up causing bigger problems.
  5. they are no different except cost of insurance really obviously the clocks will be in KMH but they all should be changed to work in MPH and the plate size on the rear bumper! apart from that iv had an import and a UK car and there are no differences. perform the same, drive the same, look the same minus the plate i wouldnt let it being an import put me off i know loads of friends with imports all of which are 100% fine aslong as you check the car over and take it for a drive and it is all ok (i havent seen the car so i cant tell you anymore than this obv) welcome to the forum too
  6. are tyre sizes same front and rear? you need the rears to be 2 sizes bigger - there is a list on here of tyre sizes that 'work' beleive me without the correct sizes front and rear your traction control wont know what to do rain or no rain also - i had goodyear eagle f1's with the arrow like tread pattern and they were awful in the rain. are yours the eagle nct5's with a more common tread pattern or just eagle f1s with the arrow tread pattern similar to that of many track day tyres? also check how much tread left on the rears? once they get to below 3mm especially in the wet the grip is drastically reduced. without answers to these questions its very hard to start diagnosing if its a tyre fault or traction control problem

  8. go down there with your pads? you shouldnt let yourself be ripped off just make sure you have checked and measured all the pads before doing so! worth a go to see what they say/do demand a free re-test and you can even insist that you watch the MOT being carried out. makes you look like a **** but why should you have to pay for brakes you dont need 'yet'

  10. haha top idea - im looking forward to the response my guess is this: standard is 280 i put an air filter on and it says adds 15bhp on the box so it went up to 295bhp i then bought the exhaust system and it says adds 25bhp on the box so its now 320 thankyou for your question and happy bidding

  22. I agree, its cheap. Found the car I want next so I think it would be wise to come and view it and bring cash. Unable to get many better pics as I only have a camera phone.
