I also sent an email to my MP with the following additional line

"I am now finding petrol prices so crippling that I can barely afford to get to work – it’s getting to the point where I would be better off staying home and going on the dole."

  2. Part of the problem one would think, is not allowing Learners on the motorway - now this thought could go both ways - I now open the floor to discussion for the "yes" or "no" vote :dummy:

  3. Looks like I'm going to have to go and get some photos of it and see how I get on with it, does kind of suck!

    Ahhh thanks rothers!

And the wheels are blitz technospeed type 03

I'll have to let you know how I get on for future reference if anyone else has the same problem

    Hi Mate

    thats really tough

unfortunately I work for a Local Auth (not yours I hasten to add) - but I'm afraid you've got a about a 1% chance of success......and thats being optimistic :byebye:

  4. Personally, if you're over 45 or a woman, you should be banned from a Z.

    Get a 7 series and MX5 respectively :)

Er, you need at least 3,500 posts before you can upset the sprinkles if you don't mind! :bangin:

+1 Agreed (or even not made at all would have been better) - clearly you're still of teenage years, or at least have that mental age

Actually thinking about it - the reverse should be true - you can only have a Z if you're over 45 and / or female - much safer drivers :#1: (on the whole)

  5. HItting an artic lorry in a honda civic, caused £100k worth of damage, my ex girlfriend lost half her left leg, i had 197 stitches in my head as i scalped myself on the sunroof.

When We were cut out of the wreck, the copper that was at the scene, later told me that all he could see was a huge white patch on my head, that happened to be my skull :scare:

So all in all, that was a bad day.....

But true non the less, even made tv as the crash happened right outside Meridian Studio's in Southampton.

F**k that's awful, okay my day was better than yours

came home to find my battered old toyota corolla (shed for work) was 2 feet shorter and slightly flatter - A 6 wheel tipper truck (20 ton i think) reversed over the top of it. The driver later commented that my brakes must have been good, because he felt the resistance :surrender:

    Nope - Zugara wins it

  6. I notice alot of people seem to be concerned about running costs of the Z due to petrol prices, and people are talking about getting 2nd cars, so I decided to work out some costs...

    Z = 26mpg, daily miles 46, petrol 1.33 = £10.66 per day or £2550 per year (5 day week, 30day leave)

2.2 diesel = 44mpg, same miles and diesel price = £6.18 per day or £1550 per year

So driving the Z costs me about £1k a year extra in petrol, which when u consider all the hassell of running a extra car, extra insurance, tax and servicing costs, would i actually save any money?? More importantly the smile driving the Z gives me is 'pricelss' B)

On the otherhand if petrol prices hits £2.00 per liter (probably in a couple of years), my petrol costs would hit £4k per year, and even with a 45mpg car that works out as £2100 per year, hopefully by than the electric cars will be able to do more than 100miles per charge

    on my calculations assuming :-

    10,000 miles per year

    diesel @ £1.39/ltr and I presently average 42mpg

    petrol @£1.29/ltr

    a zed averaging 32mpg :teeth::p

    would give

    diesel £1502 / year

    zed £1832 / year

obviously not allowing for insurance, wear and tear etc etc

  7. Never had to hold my iPhone upside down to use the forum on it

    Me neither

    iHand

Freshly carved from a European tree near you is the iHand, a wooden prosthesis on a metal rod, which is yet to appear in my local Apple Store, funnily enough.

Those rapscallions over in Scoopertino, California, clearly felt the Bumper cases Apple is now giving away don’t offer sufficient flexibility, beauty, or freedom, so upped the ante.

The prosthetic iHand fits snugly around your iPhone 4, yet won’t interfere with that ever-so-problematic external antenna due to its nonconductive surface.

  8. Its going to be Wynyard services @ 2pm. We will meet in the KCF car park. Clean cars are not a must, but if you turn up in a filthy car be prepared to take some jib, mine will be cleaned tomorrow, by errrrrrr a hand wash garage  . Girlfriends are welcome, I have brought mine before and so have others. They tend to get together and moan about how much we taking about cars ;) .
