  1. It was only very recently that I realised (well, was told) that on the dash of 99% of cars the little arrow next to the fuel light points to the side the flap is: Prior to this amazing bit of knowledge I'd routinely get out of different cars to check which side it was

unfortunately - that little nugget isn't quite true - the manufacturers haven't all "signed" up to it and many don't follow this so obvious good idea

  2. Shoulda pushed for the cargo net too mate. I want one, but not prepared to pay 89 quid for what is effectively some plastic clips, string and a bit of bungee!!

damn - I forgot about that

  3. You know when you have haggled enough when you know they are about to walk away. Then haggle a bit more :lol::lol:

my counter arguement to him was - "well you know Cardiff is only another 20mins up the road and they've already agreed......"

    so he gave in

including 2.5K off list - so I'm happy with that

  4. I know its slightly off topic, but

Wouldn’t it be good if someone could invent a heads up display (like the BMW on the windscreen) That would display text messages. Because I get these more than calls on my own time and they are just as tempting to have a "Quick look" when driving but infinity more dangerous...

now that I would be impressed with :D

  5. As long as the car is out of it's warranty period I think it's ok as Chris says some one may try and use this to chip you on the part ex price, but to be honest I would rather see that the car had been well looked after. The only thing I would point out that a stamp in the book isn't always proof of service history. So if you could get bills that would be better. But if you dad is doing it for free that might be problematic but I suppose you could get the bills for the parts?!?

I was under the impression that you could take it anywhere - so long as the independant used genuine Nissan parts, then the warranty would be unaffected ........ is this not right ?

  6. I had a black merc - but as has been said, tends to be a fairly common colour colour and a nightmare to keep clean (wonderfull after a wash tho) B)

now have a white audi TT - really stands out, you get noticed, but... if a fly sits on it (and usually pukes up on it) its VERY visible

I've now ordered the 370 in black rose - who knows how this will turn out

these are the only photo's I've found of the GT ed in this colour

  7. going to pick my new car soon (ish) - I've read on detailing world that it will need to be clayed etc and cleaned from "scratch"

Is there a need to do this ?, is there an easier way ? or will it just need a wash and simple wax ?

am in the process of ordering some stuff from Tim at envy - in the basket so far - wash mit, drying towel and dodo supernatural test pot

  8. so for me @ 414 miles round trip - that would be an extra £124.20 + the bridge toll ?;)

He has gone a long long way further than that before. Just arrange to have a few done in the area at once

    dedication !! B)

  9. This thread would be more useful if someone could point out what exactly is wrong with the ad.

    Ta.

it's not a "black edition" - ie the 40th anniversary edition - its just a plain old (probably) GT Pack 370Z
