No response from my PM to R35LEE
Anyone else got bits?
-
I'm in the market for:
Passenger footwell panel (lower panel with cut-out for cup holder)
Small rear cubby (behind the passenger seat)
Coin holder (or ashtray - but would prefer coin holder)
I know I should but that's a dead end for me at the moment
Anyone?
-
I accidentally ended up with 2 of these, so one is up for grabs
Cost £29 new - £20 inc postage.
-
I purchased:
ICT 29-674 - The main loom
ICT 29-020 - The steering wheel control loom
ICT 50-256 - The fascia
All from Sextons direct
I also got a CD-IU50V - the Pioneer lead for connecting an iPod - which I didn't use. If anyone wants it give me a shout and we can work something out.
-
Way to go Chris, glad you got it sorted. I'd be interested to know what you think of this model, it's sort of on my short list at the mo
So far so good. The screen is ok, touch and drag is very responsive. Loads of outputs (and inputs) on the rear.
Downsides are it appears a little sluggish loading track information for the iPod. It changes track quickly but takes 5+ seconds to read the titles, info and artwork.
It has USB, but you have to choose between iPod and USB when installing it - you might be able to rig something up but you generally have one or the other.
LinkSearch is neat if you are using an iPod. You can search for all music from the currently playing artist - or find related tracks. Very neat.
DVD and video I havent really had a chance to experiment with yet.
Setting custom backgrounds is a fiddle. You have to create the image, distort it, and then view it as a slideshow and "capture" the image to the HU and then you can set it as your background.
I havent really had a good play with it yet, but I'll keep you posted.

All done Many thanks for the advice!

Thanks! Much better

Without any adverse affects? It's a pretty big conecting block for a simple little device Is it related to the small black box under the heater controls?
I want to fit an iPod cradle there instead
-
Turns out I have everything I needed, and more or less connected correctly. It's all installed and working....
....however the fascia is too snug and won't let it open and close smoothly. Gonna have to shave some of the plastic from it today

Mine is the plug and play loom - so I don't think I need to join anything except the ground (and handbrake to ground).
I'm confused about the Bose sub though - does yours function after the install?
-
I have that, it's just not shown in the photos
-
-
I also just noticed that the ICT loom has 2 loose wires, a black and white (i assume to connect to a ground) and a blue and white...
What's the blue and white for?
-
Howdy,
It's cold, dark, and I'm trying to get my AVH P4200DVD installed before the girlfriend gets home
I've got the proper loom from ICT, as well as the steering controls remote. It's replacing the Bose with sub etc.
Last little bit and I'm confused by the instruction included with the Pioneer.
Which phono sockets to these 4 connect to? What about the Bose sub???
Also, I connected these 2 together (the blue and white)but I don't know if I should have or not...
Help!
-
It doesnt have built in BT, but I was wondering how much of the handsfree is the Bose, and how much is the dongle and cradle.
-
I'm replacing my Bose over the weekend with a AVH P4200DVD. Does this mean my bluetooth handsfree will no longer work?
I'm using all the proper ICT looms and steering wheel controls.
-
But the one I linked to IS motorised....confused!
Nurrish - do you have any fully functional cubby doors? I also asked some Q's about your satnav system in your thread - any info on OBDII connectivity?
-
I don't know if it's meant to open automatically, or if the button needs to be pressed.
Does it need a 12v source or more than that?
-
Howdy, from Margate, Kent!
-
-
I have one! Whats the going rate? £60 delivered?
Just the dongle part of the cradle and wiring too?
-
I'm fitting my AVH P4200DVD this weekend and want to enable DVD and video playback while driving (so the gf can stick music videos on etc).
Which wire should I connect the parking brake wire to to fool it into thinking I'm parked? It needs a constant 12v source I think. Is the yellow battery lead fine?
-
Can they uprate them? Mine hold the boot, but I want it to open fully when the button is pressed.
-
DO you have a source or part numbers for these?
Nissan have quoted me £700+ for front discs during a free health check. I'd rather get cheaper parts and do it myself!

I have a cradle for the bluetooth gear - but I sold the bluetoth receiver that fits into it. But it's a piece of the puzzle if you need it.
If you pull up the gear suround and look under the heater control box (the white box) there may be a black foam covered box - which I think is involved too.
